It would be helpful if we could remove politics and off topic stuff from the last 25 posts read. It would give the impression that the theme of the forum remains intact or we could evolve to a Political Men with Hot Russian Wives forum.

For clarification purposes, did you just misspell "Aussie" or "pussy"? My fellow Americans are just as guilty on the politics.

I agree, with your first point BillyB.

As to your second point that I highlighted, LMAO!!!!

I can't answer for the Australians, but I seem to be the only New Zealander posting regularly (and have been for some time).  I don't bring Putin's foreign policy into discussions, but I WILL respond to what I deem inaccurate information portrayed in certain posts.  If you had been here for any length of time you would have seen that I can be just as critical of ANY poster - no matter what nationality they may be.
So how come I mostly get into political argument about a conflict in Ukraine with guys from AU and NZ? I just compared the situation in both countries (UA and RU) and you tried to point that it's Russia's fault etc. Though you personally are more mild comparing to guys from AU, but still... And I said 10 times that I had no interest to discuss politics on this forum. But you keep bringing up Putin and his foreign policy, like it's relevant to your visiting Russia for a week to meet someone. It might be relevant for me in Russia, 'cos I pay for food about 50% more than it used to be 3 years ago. God knows how it helps Ukraine though. But why someone in NZ would care? Are you under sanctions too? People here won't give up Crimea even if they had to live on water and bread alone. And it's far from it. My wife's parents just bought a new VW Tiguan about a week ago. And they're not all that rich here (upper middle class).
If I live in Russia and don't care who's the US President, why should someone in NZ care? Trump is just an ordinary rich White American redneck. Half of America is like him, so what's the big deal? What else is new? The only thing interesting about him is that he married twice Slavic women.

I typically stay away from political discussions. But the rampant anti-US sentiment amongst many here pisses me off. F you. All of you know we are the greatest nation on the planet, by far, even with all our warts and weaknesses. You just can’t admit it. Deal with it. Or Not. Have a nice day.  ;D

Where have you seen anything anti-American? So far I've only seen here anti-Russian sentiments by Ukrainian nationalists who live across the globe from Ukraine and who most likely have about zero ties to real Ukraine.
Yeah, probably America is the best country outside of former Soviet Union. Especially for an immigrant.

The reference to December 2011 is simply because, unlike just about anyone else here, I have actually read every single post since the beginning of that month.

Well, it is!  Russia stole part of Ukraine (Crimea) and then its agents and many of its troops invaded the Donbas.  How can that not be Russia's fault????  :cluebat:

Though you personally are more mild comparing to guys from AU, but still... And I said 10 times that I had no interest to discuss politics on this forum. But you keep bringing up Putin and his foreign policy, like it's relevant to your visiting Russia for a week to meet someone.

I don't particularly want to discuss politics on this forum, either, but Russia's actions have made that impossible in some areas.  And, for what it's worth, my shortest visit to Russia was a month - not a week.

People here won't give up Crimea even if they had to live on water and bread alone.

This is part of the problem between you and me.  Crimea is not Russia's to give up - it is Ukrainian territory, as agreed by the Soviet Union many years ago, and confirmed through the signing of the Budapest Memorandum.  No matter how you spin the results of the illegal "referendum," Russia stole it.

If I live in Russia and don't care who's the US President, why should someone in NZ care? Trump is just an ordinary rich White American redneck. Half of America is like him, so what's the big deal? What else is new? The only thing interesting about him is that he married twice Slavic women.

We care simply because his country is the most important in the world, and what he says and does will have an effect all around the globe.  As for his wives - wasn't the second one an illegal immigrant?  :o

Anotherkiwi,
She's the third one. For some reason I couldn't find information about the 2nd wife of Trump. But it's not important.
I spent 5 years out of status in the US over a decade ago, so what? In my country of citizenship we have young guys from Australia and New Zealand (so called backpackers) living and working illegally too. So? Though they come to us just for fun, but still... I personally highly doubt that Melania Trump was illegal at some point in the US. She had money and connections and also if she spent time out of status, then she wouldn't be able to adjust her status, except by marrying a US citizen, but from what it appears in Wikipedia, seems that she got her Green Card otherwise. But who cares?

American political system won't allow Trump to do anything extraordinary. Otherwise, he would end up like Dilma Ruseff. And judging by his words so far, I don't see anything for us to worry about on other sides of the globe. Magically here anti-American propaganda almost disappeared (well, significantly lessened), so in terms of dating Russian women, Trump's victory so far is a big PLUS!

I heard speeches of first President of Ukraine (Leonid Kravchyuk) in Ukrainian language on Shuster LIVE and my impression was that in 1991 Yeltsin didn't raise the Crimea issue, 'cos he (i.e., Yeltsin) was under the impression that independent Ukraine will remain a pro-Russian or at least a neutral country. Kravchyuk was willing to let Russia keep Crimea if asked. So is it a co-incidence that Crimea became Russian just days after Ukraine had chosen a clear pro-Western vector? As per international law and such... I already gave you examples of Turkey vs. N. Cyprus, Israel vs. Jerusalem and Golan Heights etc. Nobody cares. Why should you care about Crimea?

No one has appointed you a public prosecutor. Whom do you represent to judge Putin or anyone for that matter? Putin is not under sanctions, he's not a persona non grata in any Western country, he wasn't convicted of any crime in any court in the West.

Most importantly, what it all has to do with some guy from the West marrying a specific Russian woman? This forum is about male individuals from foreign countries dating or marrying women from Russia. What's the connection between that and Crimea? It's not a political forum. Why to discuss Trump or Putin HERE?
