Wim Hof Method

I have been enjoying weight lifting for the past 4 years or so.  That is when I don't hurt myself and boy does it take time to get over those mistakes the older I get.


I took a break on the weights and started doing some body exercises.  I guess it would be like circuit training where I do 10 reps of each exercise one after the other, take a break and repeat.


I found out my stamina needs work even though I would hit the jump rope after a weight training session.  After not seeing a lot of progress I had an idea that it may not just be my stamina but the way I was breathing.

I saw Wim Hof on some videos and got his course.

I plan on starting it this Monday but went through a video and started applying his breathing to my workout.  I nearly doubled my reps just from changing my breathing.

I'm pretty pumped about this.  I'll keep a little journal here if anyone is interested.   I am really looking forward to how well this does with cold temperatures.  Hof is known as the Ice Man and part of his course is training yourself to withstand cold temperatures.

I have always had trouble with becoming 'out of breath' while exercising, even as a teenager.  But numerous tests have shown nothing.

Keep us updated on how this goes for you.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

Sounds exactly what I was experiencing.  I don't recall it being so bad when I was a kid.  It was bad enough to make me consider going to the doctor for some tests.  I just had a heck of a time trying to catch my breath after the circuit training workouts. 

I noticed I was able to catch by breath very easily after the workout once I switched my breathing.  The difference was quite drastic which is why I got so excited.  haha

I'm looking forward to the cold showers.  I have done them before, but always had to push through that loss of breath when I first got into the cold water.  Apparently this won't be a problem if I do this training correctly.


I'll definitely post more after I get into it further.
