Close enough.

Trying to 'rile me' ;) ?

I assume you would never drink Jameson but would happily have a glass of Protestant Bushmills, even though the difference is nil.   :D

A small confession ... due my Proddie upbringing - there was a time - in my misguided youth when Southern produce would have been avoided ... :(

I'm not sure your taste buds are wired up the same as mine, though I certainly wouldn't turn down either - if offered - on special occasions - not a big spirits man...

95F.  C = 5/9(F - 32)
Thanks, I was too lazy to go to check :)

Does it ever reach 35C in Northern Ireland?  People wore sweaters at every beach I have seen in Ireland or Scotland.

Not in my life-time..

I'm right on the southern border of Russia, with 'Abhkazia' ( Georgia) and the water is more than 10C warmer than the Irish Sea / Northern Channel/ Atlantic Ocean  - living in  Dacha of  'interesting construction' with 6 month old kittens, proud Ma, a little dog and internet that only allows me to post text ..
We'll be back, EU ..and as a certain 'gentleman' couldn't accept my offer to 'bury the hatchet' .. Don't trust a clueless Californian 'business owner' who cannot even quote me, honestly ..

Hello Gator,

We have exchanged thoughts several years ago. I've had many names here. I was OWW or OneWeekWonder,I can't remember which. That was back in the days of debating with Kenc.

What I want to say is I'm a firm believer in getting up off your ass and going to the gym. I'm 57 and am in better shape of any time in my life. Now, I hit it hard and heavy a lot -- 3-5 days a week at the gym. Mostly, I'm the oldest guy at the gym and am in better shape shape than 60% of the younger folks. But, there's no age where a person cannot change their muscle structure. And it feels great! It takes a person to begin it and follow through as a lifestyle. You can miss a few weeks and still pick back up almost where you are at. You don't loose much in 3 weeks. The best method for working out is the GOYA method.

Of course, I remember you.  Good to hear from you again.

It is splendid to know a OWW marriage has developed into a loving, continuing relationship despite the odds.  I assert going to the gym was a small, yet necessary part of your success in facing and overcoming the challenges.

Maybe you would like to elaborate in a separate thread.  Many here would welcome learning more about your experiences.

Congratulations!!

It's literally been years since I visited this forum - let alone posted.  Happy to see many familiar faces still active.  We will pass the 16 year anniversary this September.
I was very lucky - not smart.  I can't say that I would ever recommend this route to anyone however.

WOW! I am one month ahead of you! August for us...Coincidentally enough, I too, wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I am very happy to have married the woman, the person. Not so the difference in culture.

They also wash those sweaters every April and September
whether they are in need of it or not.
