What do you call someone who’s wrong all the time?

Actually, such a person would be a good predictor.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

How much are they usually willing to pay ?

You'd have to ask someone who's tried ! ;)

Spoken by MrMOB himself. How many times did you fish the dirty barrel again? I’m certain you’ll tell us the missus owns a sunflower seed company too.

Using the terminology of a serially single chap?

At the price the unsalted ones cost in the UK - perhaps that is a good idea ..

GQB once more repeats the bollox of Maxx...

No. He only aggressively lashes out at inanimate objects when there’s an imminent threat of having to doll out $6.29, or the idea of being lawful and pay proper visa fees. Then it’s temper tantrum grumpy grandpa’s world.

1/ It was 20 Lari - think it was $6.92 at the time you 'picked up' on Maxx's brainfart - you're not good at accuracy .. thanks for further proof !

2/ Said money wasn't the issue - the timing of it's being requested - given we were already late to cross town to get a once a day train for a flight that only it could  get us on, WAS

3/ Is my wife unlawfully in the UK ?

GCQ = Constant FAIL, lies, attentiveness and even repeating bollox already busted .. check out his 'strap line' - 'quoting' words never written by me, so so 'accredited' ..

Moby, over the years we've heard your stories of domestic incidences with ex wives needing police involvement. You've been in jail, had court orders keeping you from your kids,

I have ?  Could you tell us when? I missed that .....

'Stories' infers lack of veracity .. the FACT was that there was no DV .. just a "jealous woman who can't accept that her husband chose to end the union and using the children of said union as weapons" - quoting the finding of a Crown Court Judge

and each incident ended in tears and/or blood.

ONE incident ended with blood and I divorced said wife to avoid the tears - yet SHE refused to accept I no longer loved her ..

This is what you told us.

Time for Silly BillyB to trawl through my words to invent his 'fact'!

Lord knows how many stories you haven't told us. I don't think anybody here has as much experience than you in domestic drama so you beat everybody there. In each incident I don't know if you ran over women or women ran over you but I do know you're the last person that should be giving advice on how to defuse an escalating situation.

Actually, my experience means I should  giving advice - as if we listened to you - someone shouting at one's wife - apparently - needs to be sorted out

BillyB, if you'd only read what you've already written - you'd get why your posts so often raise a smile - given their absurdity

Quite. I don’t think The Moob would want to be tarred with that particular brush, though.
Can you imagine:
Moobs: remain to win EU referendum.
Reality: remain lose
Moobs: brexit won’t happen
Reality: 18 days to brexit
Moobs: Boris will never be PM
Reality: Bojo is PM with a stonking majority
Moobs: there will be a people’s vote on the referendum
Reality: not a cat in hell’s chance of one

A pattern emerging there.

Of course the usual mrMOB’s deflect and deny.

A non answer (again) is not missed. Fact is, you didn’t fished Switzerland or the French Riviera, hell not even the sheep pasture you came out of. You’re a multiple time dirty barrel customer. You can deny the reality all you want, but you relied going to an impoverished region to fish for a wife multiple times. Why deny that?

Face it. You’re a serial ‘loser’. One only need to take a glimpse of your life’s reality today to understand you’re the very last person that should be dolling out advice here. You’re living your life in an impoverished region/s to stretch out whatever is left of your life’s achievements.

Sad, ‘homes…

You’re a serial MAIL ORDER BRIDE dependent, mrM.O.B.! An infected, walking epitome of a *Social Misfit*!

And you’re here giving relationship advice. What a hoot!

WTF! I don’t deal with nickel and dime. Let’s make this easier then! Round it off to the nearest hundred - $100 bucks ‘homes, because I am not surprised you just *don’t get it*.

You conned a host who was there to help you out. Then hustled him up for nickel and dime. Had the guy not been in any of the event during that time – you would’ve been in a fu@#ked up mess because you arrived in Georgia broke. A retiree, living off his pension, had to bail your butt out of the mess and lent you money because of your sorry lifestyle. Then you turn around and throw the guy under the bus because of the spoiled attitude of your wife. Which, btw, you refuse to admit she’s the cause of the day’s angst and delay.

You hustled, conned then tormented someone you pretended to befriend to benefit your sorry arse!

3/ Is my wife unlawfully in the UK ?

Like I said, you don't get it!

Dude. Take a poll and ask members on both boards and see who would risk getting their newly married wife be put in jail for an entire day to save having to pay $1,000 bucks for visa fee? This was suppose to be a joyous moment to remember! LMAO. You certainly succeeded making it memorable. To make sure of that, you took a picture of her behind bars and posted it in the internet to show everyone as though it was a grand life’s achievement! LMAO! No decent man would ever imagine such stupidity much less actually put their newly married wives through it. A paltry thousand bucks.

You certainly have more than one screw loose, ‘homes.

Oh Dear,

some idiot quoted DogSoldier ( aka 'John Gaunt')

JG tries to tell us he isn't DogSoldier - yet he wouldn't agree to prove he wasn't using a Tblisi , Georgia IP address when DS was staying there ..

Poor 'ol DS / JG ..  not the smartest poster when lying about who they are

1/ I wasn't 'wrong' about our right to be in the UK

2/ I wasn't wrong about us not leaving on March and October 31st

3/ I wasn't the one asking for 20 Lari ( 20 Lari destined for the 'care' of 'one's lady') .. when already late for the train and splashes and ashes smack of total disorganisation on the part of the driver

4/ I wasn't wrong about the legality of Proroguing Parliament

5/ I will not be wrong about the folly of 'brexit' ..

Hey DS ...( opps, sorry JG)

You've been 'strangely quiet' over the legality of my wife's entering the UK

why do guys with inferiority complexes choose Moby to direct their anxieties at, instead of me...
I am SO disappointed....

pick me! pick me!

aw c'mon dewd...
the next time you’re holding that pale flabby willy of yours while staring intently at your computer monitor....
consider your future....

one day, maybe next year, or the year after that, you MIGHT end up in a thin plastic body bag...
and as one hazmat suited figure checks your number off a list
another takes a forklift, and places you on top of a stack of others
and then lifts you into the crematorium, and the first operator then shuts and locks it
turns on the gas at the control panel, waits a few seconds, then hits the ignite switch

a minute later, he peers into the crematorium window
since you were the last and on top, you are what he mainly sees
the body bag has burned off completely
leaving only a totally blackened figure
as the flames roast your body
fat begins to leak out
just like cooking hamburger
and catches fire as well
in the middle of your torso
a single flame is shooting higher than the rest
it’s your willy
which is burning like a candle, brighter and brighter
and then
less and less
because it has been burnt completely away
you feel a cool feeling on your spine now?

so think of that next time you have your happy 3 minutes on the internet...
and that cool chill you feel on your spine
because later this year it’s coming for you....

so you know what that means...
das va danya!

PS, everyone
I know based on my experience with the Jonestown Massacre
that when we start running into the thousands of dead
that the government WILL NOT use the military for body disposal
instead they will quietly hire "volunteers" and pay $$$
in 1979 the US government paid college students from the Univ of Maryland, most of whom were either ex-military or medical students, $150 hour to fingerprint, photograph, and place into a bodybag
the hundreds of victims of the Jonestown massacre, and they drove them back and forth from the University to Dover Air Force Base every day
it's the only time a bus full of college students was PERFECTLY silent
but $150 per hour in 1979 was some "major coin" for back then

some of you will be able to pick up some extra money in about 2-3 more years, won't be many takers, will probably even pay more now!

none of this by the way, is intended to be "insulting"
no...
this is just "tough love" my diamond brother
for you to "wake the hell up"
and see...

did you say UK?

Once upon a time...
a screaming was heard across the sky...
and V2 rockets rained down on London

over 1,500 were launched from France and Holland

if you divide a map of the V2 impact area around London
into a grid of 1,000 squares
what is the probability of a V2 impact on a given square?
given a total of 1,500 launches....

hints
The mean number of hits that occur in a given square
The actual number of hits that occur in a given square

The Poisson probability calculates the number of hits that occur in a given square, when the mean number of hits is μ.

Poisson Distribution

Given the mean number of hits (μ) that occur in a given square, we can compute the Poisson probability based on the following formula:

P(x; μ) = (e-μ) (μx) / x!

where x is the actual number of hits, and e is approximately equal to 2.71828.

The Poisson distribution has the following properties:

The mean of the distribution is equal to μ .
The variance is also equal to μ .

it’s easy to do this on a programmable calculator, or even just in your head!

a fun past time in London, is to calculate this probability based on your GPS coords
and pretending it’s late in 1944...
don't go to the Woolworth store!
just look at the number for that square!

Only 518 V-2 Rockets were documented as having landed in the greater London area out of those 1500 launched.  Because the guidance system was rudimentary, most (almost 2/3rds) landed in undeveloped land.  That, alone, is still a high number.   But pales in comparison to, say, Dresden.

the guidance system calculated when to cut off the fuel supply to the motor
by a simple electrical circuit that consisted of two capacitors...
one capacitor was charged with a voltage, just as the rocket lifted off
another was charged based on a generator connected to a gear train
connected to the engine's turbo pump
when the voltage on the two capacitors were equal, it cut the fuel and O2 off to the engine...

Yup.  That was the London Times in 1960.  You quoted it precisely.   It was referencing a movie made about von Braun's life.

We would have an animated discussion of rocketry, my first love as a young man.   Many of the Peenemunde team wound up in Northern Alabama at the Redstone range working for the US Army.

I can't tell you how many flying model versions I made of the Titan II, the Redstone, the Uprated Saturn 1B, that I made and tracked as they headed for the sky.

von Braun had a vision that was forced to include Hitler's miasma.  But the stench only propelled him further.  Our nuclear industry stands on the shoulders of Einstein and Fermi.   But our rocket industry resides on the shoulders of von Braun.   All were refugees.

The term we have used over many years in the USA aerospace industry has been "Engine Cut-Off" rather than burn out.  I have heard journalists and pundits use the term burn out, but can't remember any engineers using the term.  Typically staging events are named as "BECO" (Booster Engine Cut-Off), SECO (Sustainer Engine Cut-Off, VECO (Vernier Engine Cut-Off), etc. depending on the missile system and terminology used.

During a staging event the live engine has to stop providing propulsion prior to separation with the next upper stage and there is a short coast period prior to ignition of the next stage.

Technically, the live stage does sometimes 'burn out' and an accelerometer is used to initiate the staging event.  It depends on the system.  Some missile stages have ports on the sides that are pyrotechnically opened causing remaining thrust to be deflected downward enhancing the separation with the next stage.
