What to expect for RW at tourist visa interview
« on: December 13, 2018, 03:01:05 PM »
I know it is rare to be granted, I have a specific question. Has anyone's SO gone through a Tourist visa interview? And what can my girlfriend expect to be asked? That is all I have to ask.

These are some typical questions that she might be asked.

This is the refusal rate for B1 and B2 visas combined. Russians have a good chance of getting a visa. In NYC there are lots of Russian speaking tourists so it's probably realistic.

I have been told that tourists in general have a better chance of getting a US visa if they're part of an organized group tour. Don't know if that helps.

A person is usually denied or approved before the interview takes place. Meeting the criteria or not for a tourist visa is determined by the interviewer after they look at all documents which takes place before they talk to the applicant. The actually interview isn't going to help get a tourist visa but it can hurt it. Interviewers also have a lot of discretion. Some interviewers deny more than they approve when others approve more than deny.
There are people that will pass info about you and your family. Do not share info about yourself or share photos as they can search for you on the internet and distribute what they found since they are allowed to participate here.

If you are not going to get paid, I do not think you need a J1 visa. You should consult with an immigration attorney.

Angel Eyes did. I'll have to ask her what they asked. She got the Visa through a Russian
travel agency. I sent her X dollars and she deposited it in her account. They coached her
on what to say and she did it.

NOTE: I had visited Angel Eyes 4 times already at this point. This is not for a first visit.

I also met a girl from Kiev in Portland OR she had her own VISA and tickets already and
