Understanding "privacy"/snooping- FSU vs. US/UK/West?

I was wondering whether posting pictures indiscriminately can become a privacy issue between your RW and yourself. For me, I would be worried. Not because of ridicule but because something which is special is mitigated by the public viewing it with judgment. Any thoughts?

How does the idea of "privacy" and/or "snooping" differ in the FSU than in the US/UK/West? Any cultural differences?

I had not thought about the  privacy issue.  If the lady does not object, I would not see the problem.  If you notice on many of the websites, they post their birthdays freely

Simple solution actually-if you don't want whatever you're posting all over the net-don't post it.

I asked her opinion, we discussed it, and then I acted based on the outcome of our conversation. Simple, open, honest, communication works wonders. At first she was against posting any pictures at all and or sharing them publicly. I respected her wishes, and did not. After soem time the issue came up in a different way and we discussed it, and she consented..
