Okay Bruno, fixed, I hope, LOL. My internet is running low so gotta go put some money on it.

Gallery page ok... lady page ok when click the left or right little bird...

Quote
The only profiles that should go to the Main Gallery is the first profile in each group. The ones you listed I just uploaded last night & forgot to put the hyperlinks in so were using the hyperlinks from the template. I'll have to be more diligent when adding new ladies.

Always the same problem... a other example... second girls from the Gallery18-29 page 1... http://www.tverangels.com/F880004.html ... the "previous" link lead to the main galery and the "next" link lead to the actual girls... almost all the ladies page have the same problem...

Some other little problem :
- http://www.tverangels.com/F880005.html error in the code, the "next" link is writen "nextt" and is not more a link

original code
Code: [Select]
...
<br>Nextt</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr>
...

corrected code
Code: [Select]
...
<br><a class="headlink" href="#">Next </a> </td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr>
...

I found one more bug, not sure how bad it is but once into the site if you click on Home in the left side menu it takes you to the wrong page. Ken is working on that as the way it is set up I will have to go through every page on the site to change it individually.

yes, the "Home" links send to http://www.tverangels.com/index.htm who say "We're Sorry But We Are Making Changes
To Tver Angels Right Now."

A easy solution for not change the "home" link on all your pages... open your file "index.html" in a text editor, save it with "save as" and give it the name "index.htm"... upload these new "index.htm" to your server... and all will be right since "index.htm" will be the copy of "index.html"...

Better have two time the same page with a different name that change all the pages from the site...

Quote
Site looks good here but the girls pics load very slowly on all pages.
Not really... the gallery already download and cache the big sized photo of girl on your own computer... and use it for make the little thumbmail... you lose some speed when you open a catalogue page... but it become very fast when you open a lady page since the main picture is already cached...

By these method, Richard spare place on his server ( no thumbmail to store ) and you spare your download band... maybe more slow for the galery page but more fast for the lady page... simply check that the cache of your browser is "on"... else you will load two time the full picture ( in the galery and in the lady page )

Thanks Bruno, got those fixed, LOL.
I'll fix the Home link when I get some more time. Not something I deem real important as long as when someone puts in www.tverangels.com they go to the homepage & can navigate from there. Once into the site it is not very often one returns to the homepage so no big deal right now.
Hoefully Ken will not be too long getting that set up for easier changing & then it will work fine. If it is going to take some time I'll do what I wrote you in the email, however that will throw off the Banner Ad for the FreeSite, six of one & a half dozen of the other, LOL. A never ending process.

Glad to see you are still around. How's the Mrs. liking CowTown?
I assume she is there by now although I havn't heard much from you as of late. Hope all is well & things are good on your end.

Hi Richard,

Yeah, the Mrs has been here almost a full year (Dec 11 is the anniversary).  She loves it here.  We live in a great neighbourhood (I have a tonne of friends in the area so we always have a dinner party to go to every weekend), my brother and his wife live 5 minutes away, and my folks are about 30 minutes away.  We are always so busy and she loves it.  She spent a year taking a few courses at the University and will now be starting with my company on January 2nd.  She has been getting her feet wet with the business all year and hopfully by the end of next year, she will be in charge of the company expansion into the UK (must have british pounds, hehehehehehe, and we need a European base for our eventual retirement which will likely be in Greece or Italy).  I know I am still young (34), however I hope to have good people in place to run the business and we can sit on a beach and travel the world.  We are working like crazy in the Oil and Gas industry.

We invited her younger sister to visit us over the summer and we had a blast!!  The three of us went to Vancouver and then to the Island for some surfing and fishing.  We were out on the ocean and the ladies caught some massive Salmon (each caught a 45 pounder).  Both were screaming like banshees trying to fight these fish.  I was glad I convinced them to leave the high heals at the cottage because they needed some traction from getting pulled into the drink.  It was hilarious though when the guide cleaned the fish because both had the Roe in them and their eyes bugged out and they yelled "Caviar"!!!.  We have enough caviar and salmon steaks to fill a freezer.  It was the ladies first time for fishing and surfing.  I taught them how to surf and skim board and they were amazing.  Naturally gifted with balance which made the teaching quite easy.

Her sister will be coming to Canada next summer to work as a Nurse which is great, and her parents will follow in about 4 years.

We have a trip planned to Italy next spring to start scouting some potential real estate options which should be a blast and all in all we are living like 2 peas in a pod.

I hope all is well with you
Cheers!!

Richard,

After looking at your website again, http://www.tverangels.com/index.shtml, I noticed you have a lot more ladies signed up and the site looks good. You should add the words "next page" an "previous page" at the bottom of each ladies page so it would make it easier for customers to understand how to get to the next page. I saw the first six ladies on the first page after scrolling down I lost the words "next page" and I thought that was all the ladies available until I scrolled back up and saw where to click to get to the next page. Just an idea to make it as user friendly as possible.
Hope things work out well for you. You're one of the few agency owners out there that deserve it.

Hey Billy, are you sure its nessessary to add them to the bottom of every profile page?
How about if I just added to the bottom of the Gallery pages?
I noticed when looking at the gallery pages, when you veiw the bottom row the Doves disappear & I could see where that would make one think there were only 6 ladies in that group. I honestly don't see any point in adding them to the bottom of every profile page, plus thats a wack of work!!
The Gallery pages are not that numerous & I could do them rather quickly, once the code is written.

Yeah, just add "next page" to the gallery pages. I re-read what I wrote and it does sound like I meant adding that to each woman's page when in fact I wanted to say the women's gallery page. But I did check out some individual woman's pages and on the top left corner where it says "previous" and "next" doesn't work and sends me out of your site and say "page not found"! I would use the "back" button on windows to get back to the gallery but you have to expect some potential clients aren't too familiar with using the functions in windows and get lost.

I wish you would have kept track of those. I will go see if I can find them
The previous & next should lead you to the previous profile & the next profile in that group as they are laid out on the Gallery pages. The only exceptions should be the first lady in each group should have a Main Gallery & Next button & the last lady in the group should have a previous to the previous profile & the next should be to an under construction type page until there is a new lady added to that group to link the Next button to.
We did a few changes about a week ago & some of the links got screwed up. I did fix quite a few but may have missed some. I ask anybody who runs across them to please let me know what the problem is & what page it is on. You can PM me or put it in this thread or e mail me.
I can't fix it if I don't know its broke. ;)
I'll get on those buttons ASIC, Billy
Thanks

Hey Richard, your site is looking very good, my first impression was of professionalism and trustworthiness, but one thing i would change and this is only a suggestion, is your membership fees are in rubles, I had to find a currency conversion site to figure out how much that was, how about USD
Your Mom is so dumb that she tried to minimize a 12 variable function to a minimal sum of products expression using a karnaugh map instead of the Quine-McCluskey Algorithm.

Left side, below the menu, you can find a currency conversion... no need to seek a other site...

LMAO Yep Louie, I think your needin' glasses, LOL.
There is a currency converter right on the page. There is one on every page that requires any conversions. It also states it at the top of the page that you can find it in the left hand column under the main menu.
The reason its in roubles is because I pay my bills in roubles & its easier for me to figure what portion of what I am bringing in has to go out to keep me in buisness & what part is actually profit. Not only that, with the $ dropping like a rock I lose money. It isn't a lot per client, but add it up over 10-15 clients & I lose a passle of money. Even if it is only $100.00 per client over 10 clients thats $1,000.00 or in my world 26,500 roubles, which is almost enough to pay all the wages & office expenses for 2 months! So when I look at it that way, I don't regret pricing my services in roubles. Incidently the exchange rate here is even lower than what you get when you check through my currency converter. The rate in Tver this morning was 26.10, when I checked through my converter on my site it was 26.76, so you are still coming out ahead by 50 points or more.
That doesn't apply however if you are on the ground in Tver, as I only accept roubles as payment once you are here so you are paying whatever exchange rate you can find on the street. Actually I tell my clients to exchange as much as they can at the airport before coming to Tver or going into Moscow, as the airport gives the higest exchange in country. But if your paying for a letter writing membership or to have flowers or gifts sent or any other services that you pay for from over there, through PayPal or whatever, you are coming out about 50 points ahead using the internet exchange rate through my currency converter.
Hope that explains it well enough, LOL.
I had an intigrated dynamic converter before but when I changed to the new format I decided it was easier just to put a simple converter on every page that needed it. Easy to use & easy to see, I thought, LOL. ;)
Thanks for the compliments but there were others whose help made it all possible, so if you don't mind I would like to share your praise with them.

Okay Billy, Try that & see what you think. I just finished them & I tested them & they all worked  okay. I also added a button linked back to the Main Gallery from the under construction page so you don't have to use the browser back button to go back to the last profile when you get onto that page.
Try it out & let me know.

Richard, everything is working except if you go into the girls aged 18-29 gallery and click on a girls profile, the "next" or "previous" buttons aren't working since it's sending me out of your web site but they work for all women older in the other galleries by sending me to the next or previous profile accordingly.

I just took a look Billy & your right, something screwy there, I'll get on that right now.
Louie, don't feel bad, happens to the best of us, LOL.

Jump ahead - LOL - instead of adding another post I'll just edit it into this one.
Fixed Billy. I don't know what is going on there as I recall doing them all about 2 weeks ago! I swear that server program is changing some of my html code or somebody is messin' with me. ;) Anyway I fixed those & checked them all & found a couple in the other groupsthat weren't working as well. So I think I got them all now.
This paying internet by the MB sure sucks as when I gotta go in & fix & look & test every page it costs bigtime, real bummer that.
Find any other screwups let me know.

Okay guys & gals, especially the puter wiz's. I got a big problem I cannot seem to solve. I have even contacted the host server to ask them & they say it isn't them but my script. Now this wasn't happening a week ago & just started recently & I'll be danged if I can figure it out.
Is it possible to have a virus on my site, I donno?
Anyway, whats happening is eveytime I go in & change something like I do every day or two on the homepage for the new ladies pics & I save it I get these stupid Capital A's showing up wherever there is a space. I got them all deleted today but soon as I saved it I went & looked & I see a couple more have popped up, but not as bad as it was. I cannot space the Previous & Next buttons on my Gallery pages as when I do the space fills up with Capital ' A's & if I don't delete them & then save it, they double in number on the next save. Its just plain wierd as he!!.
Some of the pages are okay as I havn't had to make any changes. But any new changes I make since last weekend I get this crazy crap hapening to those pages when I save them. So far the profiles are okay but the new Gallery Pages & the Hompage are infected with this & I cannot for the life of me figure it out. Nothing has changed that I am aware of & I see nothing in the script.
The Server people said it could be my script but I am using the same script (ANSI) that I have been using since we launched the site.
So if anybody has any idea what in heck is going on I would really appreciate it as this one is way over my head, LOL. Course that ain't hard I'm the runt of the litter!!! ;D ;D
Thanks in advance!

Anyway, whats happening is eveytime I go in & change something like I do every day or two on the homepage for the new ladies pics & I save it I get these stupid Capital A's showing up wherever there is a space....

Not virus and no problem...

in reality, it is your character "&" who is converted to "&amp;" ,bad render in some browser or... bad parsed by your server...

Remember the similar problem with these forum in the begin... have your forget these "&nbsp;" who is a "(A Space)"... similar problem and similar solution...

Simply don't use "&" in your text, replace it with "and"...

It is possible that your server have Apache not configured for work with your charset iso-8859-1 ( latin )... why not try use the iso-8859-5 ( latin/cyrillic ) , take a look for the character table at http://www.kostis.net/charsets/iso8859.5.htm...

One question... is it your computer with Russian software or only english software... check the charset used by your system... possible that your system convert "&" in "&amp;" when you save or upload ( FTP program ? )...

Edit : Open your home page in a text editor... use the function "seek and replace"... seek "&amp;,Â" and replace it by "&amp;" ... save your page, upload it... and check...

Thanks Bruno...
My computer has both Russian & English software as well as it is configured to type & print in both as well.
It seems not only to be doing it where there is a "&amp" however. It does it wherever I put a space. When I use the spacebar to put spaces between pics or text it inserts the 'A' in its place.
Is there a way to change the character set for the entire site that is fairly easy. Downloading & uploading is possible but costly from where I sit so I try to do what I can onsite.
How about if I just go to each page & change it in the HTML, would that work? I can do my templates first & that will stop any new occurances & then fix the rest as I have time & whenever I open a page to change or do a repair I can check to make sure that that change is done before I save & close.
You can see a sample of what it is doing here http://www.tverangels.com/Gallery18-29-6.shtml
Thanks for the help.

You can see a sample of what it is doing here http://www.tverangels.com/Gallery18-29-6.shtml

Ok, i see it... and the code is :
Code: [Select]
<div>           <a title="18-29 Gallery Page 5" href="/Gallery18-29-5.shtml " target="_self">
<img title="" height="62" alt="" src="images/PreviousPage2.jpg" width="51" border="0"></a>               <a href="/Under Construction.shtml ">
<img title="" height="62" alt="" src="images/NextPage2.jpg" width="51" border="0"></a></div>
<div>        Previous Page         Next Page</div></td></tr></tbody></table>

The only method is open each page and correct it... Check if at the save, these strange character are back... if "yes", the problem is on your computer... Check if your upload software ( FTP program ) is able to connect in other mode that simple ASCII...

Why not simply align="left" for the left image and text and align="right" for the right image and text... code more compact and it resolve the problem...

Richard, don't trust these programme who generate HTML code... learn HTML and build your own code is the best way for work when you need to upgrade yourself your site...

WellI got that problem solved.
Ken has built boxes to hold them so that no spaces are required. That doesn't solve the problem of them showing up on other pages however.
I do check before I save & delete any I find but as soon as I save they come right back. sometimes I have to go back in 8-10 times on the same page before I finally rid myself of them. But if I ever have to make a change on that page again well...then we are right back to square one!
Now that you mention the FTP program that could be the problem. When I have very few file or pics to upload I just use the FTP program provided by the host, but it only has 12 places. When I have a larger amount I use WindowsCommander 6.03a. So in effect I am using two different FTP programs. Ken also did some uploads & I have no idea what FTP program he uses, so could be three, LOL. Nothing like a stew is there? ;D
I just checked one page & it has this in the html for Char set - iso-8859-1. Now can I just change that on every page? And from now on I will use only Windows Commander for uploading  :)

Billy I was going to do this through emails but then I thought heck no. There are others out there that have problems like this or may have & I thought maybe they could learn something as well. Its areal experience for sure but I am grateful for the guys on this board with such knowlledge to be able & willing to help. This board knows no bounds!!! ;D

I do check before I save & delete any I find but as soon as I save they come right back.

So, the problem is your editor...

Why not use a real HTML editor... myself, i use Kate but it work only under Linux

For windows, you have a similar free software called AceHTML 5.05.8
http://zdnet.be/images/dlweek0347/031119_ace.jpg

You can download it at http://zdnet.be/downloads.cfm?id=32030
In these editor, you have a syntax checker for HTML, CSS and JavaScript... this can allow you to check error before upload file...
WML and XHTML is supported for edit but no syntax check...

Edit : Just find the english site for AceHTML
