I don't believe people divorce because one party changes.  Most people don't change significantly, at their core.  I'm not saying it can't happen, just that it's the exception rather than the rule.

This is a hard one.

In my case, first wife's grandmother had 'read her palm' and told she would never marry.
So in addition to a 19 year old's romantic infatuations, I think  she might have also thought that she should grab this chance as another might not come along.

I don't think she ever loved me and some events in the early days of our marriage caused me to keep up my emotional guard and never allow myself to fall so much in love that I would be devastated if we split.  It was clear in those early days that my place in line would be after her parents and her siblings.  Later, the line ahead of me was lengthened to include our two children.  In our last several years together it became clear that she really didn't even like me anymore.

Amazingly we stayed together longer than some here have been alive.  It was mostly a comfortable arrangement and she was a good housewife and a very good person ethically, morally, etc.

Eventually however, I just decided I would like to try to find someone who at least really liked me.

My need for sex played a large role also.  She usually performed only as a duty and as the change set in she said even the thought of sex was repulsive.  But said she would do it anyway if I really needed it !!  WOW, that really was a sexual stimulant for me !!
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

How old were you at the time when you married? She sounds like a good woman , some guys think that a woman's view of sex is a duty . I seen men post this and think it is normal , and it isn't , once a woman views sex as a duty and not fun , there is underlying problems.

My Ukrainian wife is pretty solid when it comes to sex. I’ve never heard no not even once throughout the years. She is convinced that it is painful for men to have a full sack of sperm and unless it gets released. Then the man will either be in pain or he will go out and hunt for a woman that will get the job done. I laugh and say...your absolutely right gorgeous. Even though I think, well, hot women usually aren’t the brightest stars in the sky. It works to my benefit so why say otherwise. The only time a Ukrainian woman isn’t going to want to do it is when it comes to that time of the month. She thinks if I see that then I won’t be attracted to her in that way. Same goes for being in the room when they give birth. They think if you see them shooting out a kid. A man will see her in a different light and not be attracted to her. Jokes on her because I wouldn’t need scissors to cut the umbilical cord. I’d use my teeth.

Is it her duty. Somewhat I’d say. Just like cooking and cleaning. We both are traditional so we both play our roles and it works. I love knowing that my wife looks conservative and straight laced but I’m a pervert 24/7 and I know she’s loves every second of it.

Sounds like you and your wife have a good dynamic, i asked my girlfriend now if sex for her a duty , her response with a smirk 'is this one of our roleplays', when she realised i was seriously, her response was no, sex should be enjoyed by two people. Luckily the women i been with enjoyed sex, and wanted sex with me, i mostly initiate it, they sometimes do, then again, i have a very high sex drive.

I remember two women i had issues with, we just never resonated (out of 30ish women). One of them it wasn't the quality of sex that was the issue, we were together for 3 days living together, she orgasmed multiple times, once she cried after orgasming because of how intense it was, she told me only one other guy managed to do it, but we were two different people. I didn't resonate with her views of society, she was a leftist mentally, bit mellow also, i am hyper active, which she found an issue.

It may also come down to some people don't like frequent sex.
