Prologue

I think many of you know that we are trying one of Jack Bragg's First Dream tours.   As I am writing this we are about half way through.  We, by the way, is myself and my son who is 36 and has had terrible luck with American women.   This is his first real exposure to FSU women.   We departed Pittsburgh on the 12th of Septenber arriving the 13th and will retrun on Oct 2nd.  We will be doing 4 and possibly 5 cities on his tour.   

I had said many times I would never do another tour.  I had been on three EC tours and never met anything except scammers and serial daters.  I had talked to Jack many times about his tours.   I even had a few times on RWD that I was questioning his system.  I thought he answered me well and even though I was not convinced he was right, I gave him the benfit of the doubt.   Having seen it first hand, he was right.   I have heard nothing but good comments about his tours.  I am not meaning this as a commercial for Jack's tour and if it seems that way, it is only because he does things well and has a good system.

A few months ago, my son said to me that he was never getting married again.  He had been married two times.  The last time the gal he married turned out to be a drug addict and while he was defending his country in Iraq, she was back here running around with her old boyfriend and using up all his money snoritng coke.  I don't know much about coke but I guess one evening she snorted 14 lines and could not sleep for 2 days.   It is not my idea of fun or good behavior for a wife.   He always had a dream of a good woman and having chilldren.  The gals he had gotten involved with lately had kids and about the time he really got attached to the kids something would happen.   

I had a thought a few months ago.  I asked him if he was serious that he would never get married again.  He said, Dad, I just can't find a good woman.  I told him that if he was interested I would give him his next 10 years birthday and Christmas presents rolled into one and we would both go on one of Jack's tours with me paying his tour costs and hotel costs.   He was very excited about the idea. Jack told him it would change his life and If I can change his life in a postive way it willl be the best thing I ever did for him.   By the way, he makes good money but is not a very good money manager and his ex was still bleeding him. 

I told Jack we would both go.  I also told him that I really hoped it would work for my son.  That if he met a good woman and I did not even had a date I would be as happy as I could be.   Yes, I would get with the program, but what ever happened for me was of no concern.  Jack said, don't worry about a thing.  It will change his life.  That he was at a great age for doing this and would be fighting off the women.

Preparation

With the tours I had been on before you would get a nice packet in the mail with instructions for getting your visa, some information about weather, contact info, Info about fiancee visas and why you should use them to get it and a few other things that you needed to read.  That was what there was before you got on the plane and went.

Jack is a slave driver, but I am saying that in a nice way.  To do one of Jack's tours you need to spend a lot of time getting information to him about gals you want to meet.   Jack works with about 30 agencies and the tours he does consist of one party per city and many individual introductions.  Before you go you have to spend a lot of time on each agency site picking the gals you want to meet.  There are some premium services you can get if you want.   Some of the guys use these on their top choices.  The popular one is to send flowers and a hand delivered letter to the gal and the agency person doing the delivery waits until the letter is read and finds out if the gal is interested in meeting the guy.   The other is a registered letter, snail mail of course.  Or the third choice is the agency contacts them and finds out if they are interested.   My son opted for the premium service for some of his top gals and the registered letter for others.  I was a cheapskate and just used the agency.  Suddenly my son found himself with e-mails from the gals he wanted to meet coming fast and furiously.   One gal from Sumy seemed very special and they wrote every day.

The other part of going on one of Jack's tours is that you spend a lot of time on the phone with Jack.   He helps you find the best photos and write your profile that goes to the agency's.   He spent a lot of extra time talking to my son and helping him do everything in a proper way that would produce results and kept re-enforcing that this trip would change his life.  There were also of course a lot of e-mail information from Jack.   Jack is much more hands on than the big agencies.

Arrival

We caught the plane from Pittsburgh to JFK, to Amsterdam and to Kiev,  The flight was uneventful and except for the usual slow long line for customs all went well.  We came from baggage claim and there was one of his gals waiting with a sign and our name on it.   Jack had rented an apartment in Kiev so we could leave our bags and spend some time in Kiev without worrying about our suitcases. We pulled in to the sight of a lot of guys on the balcony having a very lively discussion.  We went up and met the guys we would be traveling with along with Jack.   Jack was about the only one who did not say his name as we shook hands.   My image of Jack was different than Jack is in real life but I could easily recognize the voice.

Jack took us all to a cafe where we met up with the managers of several agencies and looked through their photo books.  For most of us, we would not be spending much time in Kiev so it was more of a backup plan.  I picked out a few gals and gave them the list not sure I would ever need those matches.  My son and I took off to do some shopping and met everyone back at the apartment.   We headed off to the train station for the night train to Kharkov.   We had a car virtually to ourselves.  It was two guys per compartment and we were off.  Many of the trains there are set up to leave around 11 and arrvie about 6:30.  It does not matter how far they are, they just go faster the more distance they have to cover.   We arrived in Kharkov and went to our hotel, the hotel Mir.  Usually hotels don't let you check in that early but there was no problem there and we even got our first of many mystery breakfasts.

Jack looks like a very big dude, sort of like DaKnack who is about 6' 2", 240 pounds and very solid. Someone I want to have as my friend.  Looking forward to reading the rest of your trip report.

I hope everything works out OK for you and your son. I am sure that Jack doesn't need me to advertise for his tours, but many of your recollections are very similar to what I remember when I was in your shoes. Jack really does take time up-front to learn about you personally and he expects allot of up-front work and commitment from the guys. I did smile when I you told about the pamphlets and personalized itineraries arriving before you left (I am still waiting for mine ), but in all fairness to Jack I was a sort of late addition to his tour. 
I also remember that the socials required you to work very hard. It is really all business when you are in the restaurant.  You have eight or so single women all to yourself for a short ten minutes or so. All eyes are on you, you must be charming, gracious and funny to make your best impression. And your audience is charming but also rather tough - they are serious (for the most part) women who are looking for their other half and they ask you tough questions.  It is a rather tough audience, for sure.

We all had several individual meetings set up for us in Khakrov the day of our arrival and the following day before the party.  One thing that impressed me as I got to know the guys was the difference in the quality of the guys on Jack's tour vs the other tours I had been on.   Jack picks up his men from forums and they are guys with some savvy and for the most part guys who would be great choices for the gals.  I am not going to say the other tours had looses but most knew little about the process and were very vulnerable to scampers and pro daters.
I had about 3 meetings the first day and two the second.  My son had a lot of meetings and fell in love with about every one.  The gals I met were nice and I liked them a lot but none hit me as "the girl"   It amazes me how Jack's gals can keep everything straight.  We had a hard time even keeping our own dates straight.  

The second day there we had our first "Party"   Jack did some special things for me because I was a little older than the rest of the group and was targeting ladies older than most of the others.  I was basically looking in the 35-50 age range.  Jack gave me my own program and own tables.   I had two tables just for me and rotated one time.   I could say that Jack gave me all the old bags and kept the young hotties for the other guys but I have to say the old bags he gave me were sometimes pretty hot.  I am joking here but basically the gals who were in their 40's got me and the ones in their 20's and 30's got the younger guys.   It was a good system.

At the big agency socials I attended the guys all had a small table and the gals stood around the room.  If you saw a gal you wanted to talk to your interpreter went and got her.   I saw a lot of gals who came a long way, got all dressed up and talked to absolutely no one.  Jack has a table set up for each man with about 5 ladies at the table.  The guys talk to each lady and each lady talks to the guy.  Every 10 or 15 minutes they rotate the guys to the next table.   The men, meets every woman in the room (except for the hot old bags I had all to myself)  Every woman meets every man in the room and is always at a table with a man.  I don't think anything is perfect but it sure is a great system compared to the other socials i have done.   Most of the guys found a lot of good women at the party.  Between the party and the individual meetings they usually had lots of really nice and really attractive ladies.

My son also met a lot of great ladies both with the meetings and the party.   His mind was really on the gal from Sum he had been e-mailing hot and heavy and she was coming our last day in Kharkov.   He sort of thought that was going to be the one.

At my second and for me last table I liked the one gal a lot, perhaps not to the point that I thought she was ""the gal" but I liked her company.   There was another from my meetings that I liked too but she was at the other tables and I only got a chance to say hello to her.  When the dancing started we were out there on the first song and never took a break until the music quit.  While we were dancing there was a wild looking willowy and goofy young blond with really ugly teeth and big jugs that was giving me the eye.   She slipped me her phone number and then I went off with the gal I had been dancing with.  We went bowling for a while at the club Misto then went into the club and danced some more and then we called it a night.

In bed (yes alone) my legs started to hurt from 4 hours of non stop dancing and I laid there thinking about my trip so far.   At the party and meetings one of the things I looked for was for a gal who seemed to be into me.   Laying there I wondered if I was really picking the gals who were most into me, or the ones who were aggressive and pushy.  There can be a fine line between the two and a very big difference in what you choose.   I am not sure I can tell the difference.

Well, I hate to admit that I am human, but since I gave up AW long ago and had not been to the FSU for a long time I allowed that to affect my choice of who to follow up with my last two days.   Since none of the gals struck me as a real keeper I decided to go with the goofy, willowy blonde as my best chance of getting (ah, you know what) in way too long.   I take her out the next night and we have dinner and go bowling.  After about an hour together she tells me she wants to get married with me and asked me what I thought.  I said I thought we should get to know each other a little better first and she said, well then when can I get married with you.   We had dinner and went bowling and  then she dropped me off at my hotel.  We started a kiss the minute the cab pulled out that did not end until we arrived at the hotel 15 minutes later.  I came up for air and thanked her for a nice night.

The folowing night we had dinner and went back to the hotel to shoot some pool.  She asked a few times about getting married I made a few vague promises about as soon as we knew each other better.  We gave up on the pool.  I invited her up to my room.  She said we needed to know each other better first.  Well actually i had getting to know each other better in mind but off she went in a cab.   I am going to have to find a good book about sex.  I think I forget how it has been so long.  

My son had spent his day with the gal from Sumy.  He seemed to have felt she was wonderful but had some concerns.  She was bascially a very sincere and very poor girl.  Her dad broke his back and they messed up the surgery and he can not work.  She is looking for a job but now just works in the garden.  she told him they can not usually even afford to have bread on the table.  She had borrowed the clothes she was wearing from her sister.   He had a few concerns but the following morning decided she was the one for him.

The next  morning we were to head for Lugansk.

 How Jack does the parties is much different than how the big agencies do it.   At the "socials"I had been to they used advertising to drag in gals off the street, anyone who wanted to come.  Most of the scammers and prodaters know this is a lot of newbies at the large agency social and easy marks for a scammer.

Before I post this I will say a few things about the comments.   

Yes, I think it has not changed Voyager but I think he likes time to work with the guys.   We had a couple of late additions too that missed out on a lot.  The phamplets I was talking about were with the big agency.  Jack is phone calls and e-mails.   

SOC.   I will try and get one for you and post it when I get back.   The gals seem to think my son is handsome and that he looks like president Putin when he smiles.  He is pretty easy going and personable and seems to be doing well.   I don't think I could do any better at describing Jack than you did.  Jack is a really great guy.   He is high energy, believes in what he is doing and likes things just so.  He seems to care that all his guys have a good expericene.

Nice pick voyager,  I was still in the reply mode when I wrote before and could not see it.

We were off to Lugansk by bus.  We made one stop along the way at a market area where we could use the toilet and get some snacks and drinks.   In some of the shops they had fish strung together and I offered to buy a stack and take along on the bus in case anyone got hungry but did not get a good reception to that.   

We arrived in Lugansk well in advance of the party scheduled for that night, had a chance to rest up and clean up and headed for the party.  One of the things Jack does that the other agency did not do is to line up the men in the front of the room when we come in and do an introduction.   I think it is a good thing but most of they guys seem to get a little nervous about it.   The gals liked it.

For most of the guys, the party was awsome.  Most guys had all the gals they needed just from that.  I had a couple of goofs myself.  I had two tables with the older gals.  As we fiinished at the first table I asked my interepreter to get a phone number for them, mostly for the one I liked the best but to get the numbers for everyone so no one would feel left out.   She said she would get it later and later they were gone.  Jack was very upset about the goof and the last word I got was that the one I liked was not interested so it was not important anyway.

My second table had one gal who was plastered.  She kept knocking over drinks and was all over me.  I had just filled a glass and saw her waving hands moving in that direction and quickly moved it before it was on my lap.  After the meeting part I danced with her one time and that was a mistake.  I was not particularly attracted to the other gal at the table so I got out of there and went to the internet cafe,

The next day I had 3-4 meetings in  set up in Lugansk.  All the gals were nice.   The last one really impressed me.  She was beautiful and was exactly the type of gal I would really like to find except for rusty english and being a little bigger than I would have preferred but not too big. I liked some of the others but made my mind up that I definately wanted to see her again.

My son was going crazy.  He had fallen in love with about 4 of them.   There was one he almost did not meet.  All the guys had her at the top of thier lists and she was meeting everyone.   He about decided it would be a waste of time but went ahead anyway.  She told him that she liked him the best of anyone and wanted to see as much of him as she could.  He is very into her and she seems to be into him.  He has another he likes about as well but for the moment the sumy girl, the last cities true love of a lifetime seems to be history.

I had one meeting in Lugansk at noon.  The directions I got for the meeting were for someplace that did not exist but we did find each other.  I was using an agency terp.  the gal I met was nice but not the one.  The terp kept trying to drag the meeting out becasue she had someone else at 2;15 and she wanted to keep her pay going as long as she could.  I had to make a trip, was out of questions and wanted to relax for a few minutes.  I finally just said, lets go and ended that meeting

Following that meeting Jack did something else special for me.   I had picked a number of gals in Severdonetsk for my list.  3 and possibly 4 of those wanted to see me so instead of bringing them to Lugansk they took me to Severdonetsk.   The only thing it was going to cost me other than the meetings was I had to pay for the gas to get there.  Andrei from Elete Agency took me.   It was a little more than an hours drive.   He did it in such a way that each gal thought I had come there just to see them.  We went to one reastaurarnt and met one gal and she brought along a freind who was wanting to meet me also.  The friend would be very pretty if she lost 60 pounds the other gal was very pretty and very nice.  We had good but not great chemistry and I liked her but ........ she''s not the one.

We went to another restaurant and Andrei got another of the gals.  This gal was in her 40's and had an amazing personality.  she is the type of gal who could light up a room.  She seemed a bit strange too, but very nice.  I liked her and think she would be a wonderful wife who would keep life from ever being boring.  Again, maybe not quite what I dream of but nice.

Then Andrie brought the third gal.  She also was in her 40's very pretty and very warm.  This is the kind of gal I would like to find.  She works till nearly 8 so we had a late night.  She gave me her phone and e-mail and as soon as we got back to Lugansk I went to the internet cafe and wrote her.   

In the meantime the whole way to Severdonetsk I am asking my interpreter to call Arina the gal I had really liked a lot and was very much what I would like to find to try and set up a date for Friday.  She kept telling me every time I asked that she had not called but would.  When we got back I reminded her again about Arina.  In the morning I reminded her about Arina.  She still had not called.  Then she went off and when I tried to call her to see if she had ever called Arina  she would not answer the phone.  So anyway everyone else is out with a nice gal and I have one I would like to be out with but my terp sorta dropped the ball on me for this one.  It gave me a chance to post this anyway.  It is the first thing that did not go smootly on my trip.  I was not too happy with my terp today but she is a sweet gal who usually did very well.  I did not say anything to Jack about it.   If he ever reads this it will be the first he knows about it.  I could have gotten jack to find someone else to call Arina and he would have gotten right on it I am sure.  It is always possible that she did call Arina and that she was not interested or had other plans but if that did happen It would have been nice of my terp to let me know so I could make other plans.   Anyway, that is my trip to date.  We leave Lugansk tomorrow morning.

I've never seen Putin smile. So are you saying that you are not a homo as was suggested here several months ago? I suspect not because you have not once mentioned you taking note of any man. I had fear when you first described the goofy blonde with bad teeth, thinking he/she maybe. Teeth can be fixed but boobs are special. Keep after it Turbogay and the reports are great. I now wish that I was there.

Good for your son to have an experienced hand to guide him also! I have seen good and bad written about Jack in the past and this is the first report on one of his tours I have read, it is interesting that an experienced guy such as yourself speaks well of them. It seems he makes an effort and for that he must be commended.

I have spoken with Jack twice on the phone and he offered his help several times and gave me his contact information in case I got stuck in Ukraine or scammed by someone. He did not try to force me into taking a tour although he did suggest it because it is his business. I carried his number with me all three times and I fortunately did not have to use it. It is also nice to know Pavel in Kiev.

Unfortunately, (actually fortunately) I found my dream girl BEFORE I could take a First Dream Tour.  But I did experience some great people in local agencies (such as Sergey in Kharkov) that work with First Dream.

I think you two are in good hands.  Best wishes for finding TWO great girls, one apiece

I glad to see that your are enjoying yourself, finding some nice ladies and getting out on the dance floor, having a good time with your son, and I hope that somewhere in here you give us a 'our eyes met and it was over'. I am liking what you are experiencing because I spoke with Jack (thank you) and maybe will be joining him on a tour next spring.Hey! I can't do any worse than I have already! . And don't go hitting on your kids leftovers. LOL

yeah, I would like to take that tour but had I gone with Turbo then I fear that jb would have figured that he now had confirmed proof that Turbo and I were indeed "homos".  We would have never heard the end of it.

  TG TGjr, Even if things don't work out in the romance department, Ukr has so much else to enjoy. I'm fully aware this isn't mainly a sightseeing trip and there is purpose to what you're doing and I wish you luck. Try this sometime TG. It's not uncommon to go to a restaurant and sit down with people you don't know and eat. If you happen to see a woman or 2 woman eating, join them and order something to eat. I've  been there many times and travelled alone to many cities and actually ended up meeting some very cool people doing this. I learned it from them. If you walk in and someone catches your eye, say mozhna,  sit down and strike up a conversation. Most all want to hear you speak english. Take your pocket dictionary with you. They will be interested in you. I think not many women over 40 speak fluent english but who knows? It may be your lucky day. what's the worse that could happen? The answer will be nyet or da. I know your days full but if you ever have that bit of free time. Oh, be aware of the ring finger on the right hand. I'm sure you know that already. take, care.

Before I continue, I want to make a few comments.

SOC,  Cool new avatar.  It that is who I think it is I wonder how many of the guys here would even know!

Viking.  Do yourself a favor Viking.  Take the maybe out of that.  You are not going to believe it when you do it and you will be kicking yourself for wasting the time and money in the way you have been doing it.   I should have done this long ago.  If at all possible get Lugansk in one of the cities you do.

Comment,  My terp in Lugansk was an awesome young gal.  Everyone who used her thought she was tops.  I think she did drop the ball on me but it is no big deal.  If Arina and I have a future I will persue it one way or the other.   There are others to choose from too and one that really has captured my fancy from the backwoods in Russia that I am going to visit a few weeks after I get back.

My last night in Lugansk I got a lot of rest.  That was OK,  I think I needed the rest for Dneper.   We went to the restarant for another mystery breakfast,  The percentage of guesses was it was fish again but I think I set the record with one bite of it.

Then we piled into the bus.  Piled is the proper word.  Jack had asked for a minimum of a 20 seater bus and we got an 18.   Since there were 12 of us that should have been fine however the bags took up 6 seats with a lot of effort.  Our other bus was great.  We were not sure which was worse the bus or the driver.   We made a stop on our 6 hour trip and all wanted something to drink and eat but about all they sold where he stopped was fish,  The river must be empty there were so many fish.

We got to the hotel and I had my first meeting scheduled.  I met up with Svetlana and had one of Jack's gals as a terp since they knew each other.  Sveta was in her 40's and cute.  Not beautiful but cute.  She had a great personality and we seemed to enjoy each others company.  Our meeting went on for 4 hours and truthfully I was in no hurry for it to end.

My second day in Dneper they ran me and some other guys to an agency and we looked through the books and picked out some gals.  It was hard to schedule much since I already have 4 meetings booked for Sunday.  On the way back I had one of the best meals of my trip, Mickey D's.   I got back to the hotel, got cleaned up and we were off for the Dneper party. 

We took cabs to where the party was.  My son and I were about the last two to pick terps and the two that were left included on cute young one and another chubby but pleasant young one who had a nice face but would not turn too many heads.  I took the chubby one just to give my son one more possibility.   I think it was her first job as a terp,  she did fine but it was easy to tell she was new at this.

I had mentioned they were doing me a little differently.  Everyone else visits ten tables, I visit two tables with a little older gals.  At my first table I had three gals.  One was attractive but not quite my type.  I liked her though and we had excellent chemistry.  The second was not a gal I would wager much money on her ever getting an AM but she was a nice gal.  The third was pretty but a little hard looking.   As my time drew to a close the first gal suggested she show me the town when the session was over.  I sort of agreed with a few hedges because I was not sure what my next table would hold for me.  We sort of left it that we would go out after.  The took me to my next table.

At first there was one gal there, another joined us shortly.  The first problem I had was I set one of the legs of the chair down on my tongue.  This gal was smoking hot.  She was 42 with a 22 year old daughter.  I told her that I was amazed that she had a 22 year old Daughter because she did not look more than 22 herself.  She smiled.  This gal had long blond hair, a movie star face, built like anyone would dream their gal would be and was very skilled in social graces.  Back in the days that I was dating American women this one was so hot that had she spit in my face I would have been so happy I would never have washed my face again.   A few minutes after we started another gal joined us.  This one was also 40's, cute, fun, a little religious but nice to be around.

We talk about all the usual things and the chemistry is fine.  Lots of eye contact, lots of smiles,  but not quite the real connection we all hope for.   Still good chemistry and I am sitting there thinking how to politely dump the one from the first table if I can take this one out after.  The music starts and I have both gals out on the dance floor and we are having a nice time.   Everyone was heading for one place that ended up being closed for remodeling but we did not know that.  I asked both gals if they wanted to go and they said yes.  Fortunately the gal from the first table had left.  I have a feeling she caught a look at the blond and decided it was hopeless for her.

The blond says she had driven there and she lived near the center.  She suggested we all ride up there, she will park her car and we will go to the night club everyone is going to.  Off we go.

We get to her car which is a brand new Mercedes with a touch of new car smell left.  We drive towards her apartment.  She drops us off at the corner and goes to park her car.  It looks like a brand new luxury apartment building right in the center. 

As we wait for her to come back I am there wondering what she really does that she can afford that car and that apartment.   The town is awesome.  Lots of fancy new buildings and all kinds of things going on.  I am wondering how she would like my 105 year old house in a rinky dink town and riding where we are going in my Silverado with 115,000 miles on it.   We get the call the night club is closed.  They are going to call me back with plan B.  The gals and I go to a Japanese restaurant.  The gals get sushi, I get chicken, I think.   We call it a night and I head back for the hotel then to the Internet cafe where I am now.

Tomorrow I have 5 meetings set up and maybe more.  I am trying to keep Monday night open for the one I like the best.  The blond would be the hands down choice if she drove a Lada and lived in a soviet style old apartment building.   Right now I don't know if Monday night will be the smoking hot blond, the one that left, the one from the first night that I enjoyed being with, a new one from tomorrow or the one from my last meeting tomorrow who is a really beautiful gal I have been writing to for a while.  Whatever I choose, I will tell you about in my next installment.

I recently returned from Dnepropetrovsk.  Good city with friendly scale.  Karla Marka avenue very picturesque (wide, trees, historic architecture, clean, good shops).  Observed about 5 Bentleys driving around. 

Two good places to eat to impress a woman you wish to impress:

$$ Moon Cafe (across the street from Majestic Ladies agency).

$$$ Safari Restaurant (take Karla Marka tram to top of hill and exit at park/museum when the tram turns towards river - Safari is 50 m towards river on left)

Good internet cafe at post office (8am m- 8 pm), the Victorian  building next to Cindy Agency.
