NFL vs The Russian Girl

Oh Yeah, monday night football.  My wife is making cottage cheese dough ball things that are fried to take to the local bar tonight.  Getting the women to compete with each other over who brings the best goodies is the way to go.  Being from a small town, the restaurant in the front, bar in the back establishment becomes a social gathering.  I don't really care about the game.  I do care about the new york cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, sauted elk strips, specialty Russian cakes of several varieties and, well, the budweiser on tap. Even one of the guys has become a competative cook. 

Sex and the city irritates my to the extreme.  Bad values being displayed as positive.  Personally I would ban it, we each have our things that just won't happen, and that program is one mine.  Why introduce poor judgement, anti-men, it all about me because I'm a woman values into a family building context.  It's time to flush the toilet on that one.

I sure hope there is a second showing of that cheesecake tonight.  And as it's a social event I wonder what the wife will wear tonight, those Russian women can really dress well/look great for public gatherings.   We don't have a clue who's playing.

Ironically I keep forgetting that European football matches can be longer than US football ones.

And yes I did watch nearly every game in the 1998 World Cup. Too bad I can't do that anymore...

My wife can't understand why they call it football when they really don't kick the ball that much.  So far this year,
the only game in the US that I've watched was the OSU/UofM game.  Even then, I watched most of the game at the gym.  Funny thing, while I grew up in Michigan, in my area of the state, college football was much more important than pro football.  To this day, I prefer the college game as it reminds me more of the sandlot game I played as a kid. 

One thing that did surprise me is that in Saudi Arabia American football is shown live.  Thus, a 1 p.m. game on Sunday is a 9 p.m. game on Sunday evening there.  This actually works out very well in the Saudi schedule as it is after the final prayer of the day.  It works out even better for me as I am generally back from work by that time.  As a result, I've been able to watch several games while I've worked out at the spa downstairs.

I really am more into hockey. So I guess that it is a Russian sport that many RW would be interested in...

I am a die hard Bears and Cubbies fan, I met Ernie Banks when I was
a little guy, and spent a few games in extremely cold weather huddled under a blanket sipping hot chocolate watching the Bears play, heck my father used to race stock cars at Soldier Field, that's him in the picture #13 at Soldier Field!
