Good looking kid, Bill.

Here is an unsolicited piece of advice. Make him an Eagles fan. Plenty of winning in the next decade.  ;D

We moved to the Rocky Mountains and Angel Eyes made us a
picknic basket and I designed a road trip to see the sights and
sounds with stops for me to pick up rocks for our garden and
to admire the nature around us.

Angel Eyes garden is starting to show up on the table
each meal. I can wait until the tomatoes are ready.
The radishes are huge!

Much better would be to dip the raw vegetables into a white dressing like Ranch, Roquefort, etc.
Bread into the olive oil.

Regarding radishes . . . spouse has them growing by the tons.  She loves and tries to put a tiny one onto my plate each meal.

I readily eat every bit of our asparagus that I can.

Spouse has the radishes also which she loves, and I can tolerate one.

You will be waiting a couple of months for tomatoes; one of my favorites also along with green beans, spinach, and the current asparagus and strawberries.

tip with the radishes  ;)

radish and cucumber salad with sour cream as below , FSU favourite

12 radishes of any variety  , top and tail them , wash them well then slice  ,
2 small lebanese cucumbers , washed and sliced
1x soup spoon of chopped fresh parsley
1x soup spoon of chopped fresh fennel

add all of the above to a med glass bowl , then mix in approx 150gm of good quality sour cream , chill for 30 mins and serve with any meal you like ,

my mob love it , even the radish haters , ;)

Since everyone has shared stories, I will also share mine.
About St. Petersburg will not tell you, about it already told, but about the trip from it I'll tell.
There is one very interesting railway tour: http://rusrailtravel.ru/trans-siberian - Trans-Siberian Railway Tour and we heard about it with a friend from friends. In general, they decided to take the risk to go and see the country. 18 days not so much by the standards of the size of Russia itself. Large cities ended quickly, and boundless expanses of steppes, forests and fields began. This I have never seen before. It's like feeling standing in a forest in front of a pine in a mile. And it began what is shown only in some ethnic films.

Lake Baikal

a little bit of Mongolia

the national park of Mongolia named Chingiz Khan

And many other things. Unreal cool place. Definitely would advise those who have not been there yet.

I make salsa, marinara, barbecue sauce, rhubarb preserves and a
multitude of other things for winter. Much of this I get from Angel
Eyes garden.

Angel Eyes does the canning part and she makes the pickles and a couple of
combinations of veggies and adjika. She makes a half dozen varieties of jams
and another half dozen for syrups for her pancakes and blini.

The neighbor has fruit trees but they don't have the time or inclination to tend
to them, so they ask Angel Eyes to do it (otherwise the bears will) and she makes
some jam or preserves for them too. A pretty good size bear got into both our back
yards last Sunday night so they and Angel Eyes are being much more diligent keeping
the fruit picked.

Udachi!

This year we have a much larger garden and the hail didn't wipe it out.
We are canning another dozen 32 oz jars tonight and then I am done
until I start making barbecue sauce for Christmas.

I give away barbecue sauce as Christmas gifts. My older son broke my
Aunties gallon (3.78 liters) jug of barbecue sauce. I knew that she would
kill him and I was still sorta fond of him. So I went through her secret stash
of recipes and made a new batch it takes an entire 750 ml bottle of Jack
Daniels whiskey per gallon.

The recipe won first prize at the County fair in Oregon several years in a
row and I am not supposed to know it, but I do.

If those bears were smarter and knew what was stored in them  jars...

Never realised there was such an incentive to keep one's garden tidy... I have apples a plenty falling to the ground ... ((

Bears are fairly smart and they are more than happy to eat tasty apples and
plums from the neighbors trees. Once the neighbors saw a bear in the back
yard doing exactly that, they invited Angel Eyes to help them harvest. Now
she is going to make some preserves from apples and plums.

It snowed so most of the garden died. I am always sad, that soon we will be eating
the crappy store bought tomatoes, but Angel eyes is always ready to move on
(probably since she does 90% or more of the work).

You can keep the radishes.  ;D

They're not for everybody. I like em.

From Wikipedia
Red radishes are packed with Vitamins E, A, C, B6, and K. Plus it's high on antioxidants,
fiber, zinc, potassium, phosphorous, magnesium, copper, calcium, iron and manganese.

they started but once he realized what they were making he really got into it.
