Spassiba Balshoi Moi Drug!

 I'll have to hold off on joining you in that toast for a bit. Doing some real work stuff now and we're going to the skating lessons a bit later (which I am still banned from ever putting skates on again... ;D) so I don't want to get started just yet. 1 little broken wrist and now I have to live in a bubble!  ;) ::)

 Hello's to Val and another Balshoi Spassiba for the gift to both of you!

Elena (the smart pretty one) and Ken (the other one)

What is going through your head Ken? You don't want to spend your anniversary here with the guys or watch playoff football? ;D

KenC,

 Thanks much! Those are such good names aren't they? Elena and Ken. Wonderful combination!  ;D

Billy,

 Guilty admission here... I'm trying to finish up some of this work so I can catch a bit of the playoffs before we go skating  ::) and Elena looks at RWD and my extended time here as if we are a bunch of kids playing in the sandbox together. What can I say? Guess I like hanging out with the other kids.  :noidea:

Congrats Ken and Elena,

Although we have never met, I always enjoyed your posts, your sense of humor and your level-headedness. I had hope that we could meet someday when you and your family was living a bit closer, in Virginia. I remember someone here said that the second year is the hardest  ???, so successfully completing it must be a milestone of some level of importance.  Tom (<< -- still in his second year  ;D).

Wow! Thanks to all for the kind words and thoughts!

groov,
 I have a feeling you'll be getting anniversary congratulations for a long time to come!

Vaughn & Elvira,
 Elena is the nice one, I'm the butthead mean one!  ;D

TG,
 I sincerely hope and wish for the best for you and VWRW! Inspiration? Not really I think but we're fighting the good fight together and if I spend more time listening to my wonderful life and less time being stubborn I would be a lot better off!

Brad & Kat,
 Thank you! And we would like that very much! May be a bit before we do any local travelling though. We just finished paying for our move North and bought tickets for Elena and Sergei to spend the Summer with the family. All I can say about ticket prices now is "Ouch!"

Richard & Valya,
 I sure hope we get to sit down one day and raise a few, talk about Alberta, and how crazy our ladies are for putting up with the likes of us!

Boar,
 Thanks dude! You getting any closer to a trip yet?

Tom,
 Thank you! In some ways it is harder and in others it is easier. Part of the harder for us was the relocation which I think Elena has had enough of for a loooong time! The do all and end all truth of it is that this lady is the best thing that could have ever happened in my life and I would not trade a single minute of it. She would probably run screaming the day we met if she knew how much of a pain I am!

Ken

Congrats!

That's a wondeful milestone to acheive, Ken.  The two of us wish you guys the very best and a fantastic rest of your lives together.

Too bad we missed seeing you by two weeks in Virginia; hope to catch you in WI someday in the future.

BTW- my wife says it's COLD in Omsk!  I told her it's also cold in Madison, so your Elena is likely happy there  ;D

Cheers,
Michelangelo

Ken,
To my woman’s mind the most deeply touching post on RWD is your post in thread “How Much Does it Cost Emotionally to Marry a Russian Woman?” I think everyone before he is wishing for finding his love with RW needs to read the post to understand what the love with RW is.
Congratulations to the both of you! And thank you for letting us to understand more and better about process of building international marriage by reading your posts.

If you don't understand something, why the other person is the idiot?

I want to thank everybody for warm and touchful words. It was our 2nd anniversary. In Russia each anniversary has a symbol. Like 1st is a cotton anniversary, our was a paper one. They say it because the relationship in this period of a time like a paper can be tear on a pieces so easy. But we passed through this. And I want to thank my husband for this, for his love, his patience with me and still dealing with me, and our friends especially Darryl and Valentyna. They are like a family for us, wonderful couple, very thoughtful.

Elena

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll add a few more thoughts here so I don't detract from what this wonderful lady had to say.
Michelangelo,
 Silly boy... don't you know that is why we got out of Richmond so quickly!  ::)
 Seriously, we're sorry the timing worked out the way it did and would love to get together sometime. And thank you both very much!
SoC,
 Spassiba my friend. We wish that we had more time and opportunity to spend with you and Iryna
mischief,
 Thank you very much! I wish I was that nice. Elena would surely tell you that I am a very big pain in the butt to live with!
vwrw,
 Thank you! I think you have a good man who will do everything he can to make your life together a good one! And thank jb for that topic. I mentioned something in a post and it was his thought to have me flesh it out into a thread. It is quite often easy for us to write what is the right thing to do and quite difficult to "Do" all these things that we should and need to do. I only hope that I actually do more than I talk about.
Bruce & Louie,
 Thanks much guys!
