 I was writing when you posted, but to return the compliment, excellent post about women and the phases they go through. I agree with pretty much everything you wrote, and I see it in my everyday life. I have a 19 year old niece who thinks she's cool because she's dating the "hottie" guy, she showed his photo to all of us at Christmas, it was all about "isn't he hot" "look at his eyes, his lips"  I didn't hear anything about him being a nice guy or treating her well, it was all superficial.

 On the other hand her 43 year old mother (my sister) is obviously at a different phase of her life, but she is single too after a divorce from my best friend, Gawd what a mess! Anyway, she is dating, and looking for a stable relationship at this point, but I have to say she reminds me of KenC's description of his ex, she shoots down most men thinking they are not good enough, she is very beautiful, but the guys she's attracted to don't stick around very long, it's a shame. She goes for looks too most of the time, like mother like daughter, she's teaching her all the wrong things, but I keep my mouth shut because I know what would happen next...oh so dating Russian women half your age is better? I'm staying out of that argument! 

 I would disagree with you in your statement about a 20 year old girl and 38 year old man, Nataly is 22 and I am 38, but she has a lot more to offer me than just "stuff" or sex if we want to be clear about it. I guess in some ways I wish she was older, but we came together somehow and we have a great relationship, we share everything in our lives, and she is like my best friend, you can't ask for more than that. When someone says "what do you talk about with someone so young"  I say, everything! I feel lucky to have met her, and she feels the same about me, age doesn't matter to us, but let's not start another age debate, I'm just sayin...

 Can't wait to hear your T/R, I think you are in for a grand adventure, I'm excited for you, just a few more days!

With the age thing I think it's more about maturity than age.  I know the girls I've spend time with who  weren't mature even though they appeared so in the beginning.  They lacked DEPTH of maturity... A simple lack of life experience.

I think any girl that migrates at a young age will be cramming a lifetime of experience into a few short years...  Maybe that's the difference.  In Oz Generation Y girls are still living with Mum and Dad. Dad still gives pocket money till their out of uni, Mum still washes their clothes and makes their bed.  They've just not experienced life yet.

In my search I guess I was influenced by my experiences at home so I really tried to stick by my "acceptable age range" being 27-30.  Maybe I could have or should ave gone younger but I won't be unhappy if something REAL eventuates with any of the girls I'm communicating with.

Each to their own! 

You know what they say...  "If the shoe fits, go and buy a couple of more pairs because it's hard to find EEE shoes!"... or something like that!   

Oh yeah.. the trip IS close.  When I get back from Sydney tonight I'll try to update my blog (which I haven't done for a while) with a pre-trip wrap up.
