You can fill out this form using Adobe but you can't save the filled in form unless you have the $300 version. Anyone know how to save this completed form and email it so she can sign it? :D

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot e-mail an Adobe PDF, you can't even cut, copy, and paste to and from a PDF, the best you can do is fill it out, print it out, and ship it FedEx for her to sign and return it.

Maybe you can with the $300.00 version, but not with the free stuff you download from the net.

You can fill it in, print it and scan it, but I scanned it to Word and she says she can't get the document to open, but it opens on my computer every time.

Huh??  A scanned document is the same as a photo.  Don't scan it into MSWord.  She should be able to open it like a photo, print it and sign it, and mail it back.  Tell her not to scan and e-mail it, the BIS requires original signatures.

No....I completed the form for her here and I want her to have it and sign it, but you can't save the form in Adobe, so I scanned it after I printed the completed form. You have to save the scan into some sort of program so I sent it to Word.

That won't work, fill it out, print it out, scan and save like a .jpeg, e-mail that.  She can print it out on her computer and sign it, she then sends it to you via DHL or FedEx, when you get it, you can then affix your original signatory to it and then send it with the I-129F to the BCIS.

You can't do all this by e-mail, each page must have an original signature on it.  We are talking about 8 pages here if I'm not mistaken,,, 4 for her and 4 for you.

All four forms for her are duplicates, so all she has to do is print the file I sent 4 times and sign it 4 times unless I'm missing something.

Each form have 4 pages ... but your are missing something, the data are the same on each page but some little detail below the page make the difference :

page 1 below : (1) ident

page 2 below : (2) Rec. Br.

page 3 below : (3) C.

page 4 below : (4) Consul

Send the full file, 4 pages... and she need print the 4 pages... don't take some risk just for spare some little ink...

BC, you can always send a PDF via e-mail, just attach it at the e-mail like a other document...

For fill a form and save it, you need the full version... the free version is only a "reader" ... with the full version, you have the option in menu for send directly the document via e-mail...

My turn for question : it is not possible to fax the document ??? Is it accept by ambassy... in russia, in several post-office, she can receive a fax...

Billy,

The information on each page is the same, however each of the 4 pages get a different distribution, i.e., (at the bottom)
Page 1 is marked "Ident"
Page 2 is marked "Rec. Br."
Page 3 is marked "C"
-and-
Page 4 is marked "Consul"
So you see, each page is going to wind up in a seperate file somewhere.

In the interests of not confusing some poor government worker bee I'd just do the thing per the instruction and not make waves.  These forms are not hard, but they do have a method to them, follow the instructions to the letter.  Otherwise, you'll be like poor old Son of Clyde wasting time with a RFE down the line.

PS.  Sorry to duplicate Bruno's post, he must have been typing at the same time I was.

Fax'ing forms is not a good idea, print quality in never as good and might lead the reviewer to wonder/question if you've actually been to see the lady recently.  You'll note, the instructions on the I-129F specify photos taken within 30 days of the application.
