Yep, in Ukraine, almost the half of people are catholic... usualy, they life in the western side of the country...

I think that find a woman with the same religion that you is not really important... you need to find a woman enough open minded and who accept and respect your own religion...

In some way, all the religion have the same God, the rest is only history... Same the muslim have the same God that us, they reconize Jesus Christus like a prophet only... and between orthodox and catholic, the difference is very little, only the apostel who have create the religion are different...

Only write in your introduction letter what you think about religion, and your request about this... of course the reply rate can be low, but it is not prohibith to sent your letter to thousand of woman... you can use  free personals.ru with more of 13000 women... for free ...

If Orthodox there is little or no way to change that.. or should one try.

The true athiest is probably quite rare, likely most people labeled 'athiest' have an agnostic or spiritual streak in them.. but don't expect much.

And for goodness sake don't try to justify a relationship based on a 'saving' some 'poor soul'. Too many 'white nights' already lurking aroud with desires to satisfy their egoism.

You'll find some great values in women of the FSU. They might not be the cookie cutter June Cleaver you're looking for. If there are 10000 members in your church then you should be able to find at least 1 like you're looking for at home.

I wish to second much of what Dan posted a while back.  I have attended a couple of different non denominationals in Kiev and also a conservative Lutheran church there.  While none of these would be considered Pentecostal in there origins  they would all fall neatly into what we categorize as "Evangelical Christians" here in the states.  I have also met several members of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Ukraine who would probably fit in this category too.

When I attended these churches, I could not help but noticing that those in attendance were generally young and the majority were female.  These churches are definitely in the minority, but they are growing.

Because some people like myself have out grown the need for religion. Religion was a fabrication by men to control the actions of men. But of course you and anyone else is welcome to believe anything you want as long as you understand and accept that some people do not have the want, need or desire to listen to or have your beliefs espoused to them.

Since you are so well developed having "outgrown" the need for religion, I am surprised you would have such difficulty in following the advice you offer above.

I can deal with religion. I believe in Jesus and I have faith. I just know that millions have died in the name of religion and I dont like to see preachers driving $40000 suv's and living in mansions.

I was and am not trying to convert anyone to anything, just a diplomatic attempt to forestall a long serries of posts about a subject that has no resolution.

Tiger is right, the only way these threads turn out is a man of one side points his finger at the other side and declares; "I'm right and you're wrong~!".  While neither of the two sides have a clue about the cultural aspect of what they are talking about.  In other words, it's a waste of virtual ink.

'Slick has stated his goals, he's been given a few places to start his search, it's now up to him to get on a plane and go shake some trees and see what falls out.

It's all rather simple, I see no need for a full scale religious war here on the RWD.

Tiger, I will accept the the stated intent of your post and I too agree that these threads typically go no where.  Just try to be a bit more diplomatic the next time you are being diplomatic and to be honest, sometimes I need to be reminded to follow my own advice too.;)

Tiger, phil

I somehow get the feeling we'd all get along just fine over a beer, or two, or three....

We birds of a feather need to stick together.
