My wife and I are interested in joining.

For future vacations, I can get 1/2-price rates at all-inclusive Super Clubs resorts through my job (example: $104 per night/per person at Grand Lido Braco, which is where we're planning to honeymoon; $62 at Superclubs Breezes, and $99 @ Hedonism--although I wouldn't take my wife to Hedonism unless I was fully armed!)

I think Groov owes us an explaination here!

Legal,

Great idea getting Derrick to join up and keep us in the know. We would want an outside cabin with balcolny and double bed. Don't worry, when we do throw you overboard we'll throw a bottle of Standard too to use as a ... um... flotation device, yeah, a flotation device... ;)

KenC
I was hoping that Dan and Olya would just join in. Dan! You don't have to wait to be invited you know. It is because of you that this is coming together.

Re: Single guys - maybe we will need to set up a review committee. Applications, background checks, interviews. Remember we have to make sure that these guys are good enough to be around the best FSU Women in the world. We all know that "we" sure aren't!  ::)

ITs a possibility for us - I'll ask my wife.  The end of March we head to Maui with the little one.  Now that she is 1 1/2 we got her her own seat.  I just have to bring a car seat with us.  Last year, when she was 3 months old we went to Oahu.  Plus, the little one went to Russia last summer and is going this summer.  Hawaii is a long flight from NYC but we love it.  I am afraid of cruises because of all the food but to visit everyone else on a trip sounds pretty cool  :).  We could use all the parenting help we could muster!  I hope Carnival can handle two year old sleeping accomodations in our cabin.  I'll look into it.  Legal - what are the exact dates and which ship?  Triumph sounds cool.  I always liked the Eastern Caribbean.  Carnival is an ok line, especially for couples with children and singles, by the way.  In another life I had a girlfriend who liked to cruise a lot so I know the routes.

P.S. Single guys are always welcome.

Wife says ok if the dates do not conflict with her semester and I speak with Carnival to make sure they have baby accomodations.  By the way, an outside cabin is a must to prevent claustrophobia - except for single guys who probably will only go to their bunk to sleep.  Just need exact dates and ship.  Then how will we all find each other?  We should get ourselves seated at the same dinner tables.  That is possible since dinner is reasonably formal.  We could easily have two or three tables if many guys decide to go.  Tables have 10 couples per table if I remember correctly.  I guess I'll have to be a children friendly table but we could be within shouting distance.  Catzenmouse, we'll be at the same table then.

I think Groov owes us an explaination here!

We were married on Feb. 10 at a chapel in Vegas :) And yes, it was about as cheesy as you could expect from a wedding on the Strip! We're planning to have a reception for friends and family in late Spring, as my wife would like to invite her mom, sis, and friends. I'm in protracted negotiations with her about which photos to post here on RWD, but it's moving at a glacial pace while she decides which photos are our "best" :)

Anyway, I think a cruise would be a perfect way to celebrate the New Year and I'm sure she'll be happy to do it in the company of other Russian people.

Thanks.  I think it will cut too much into her semester but I'll ask her.  I wish it started around December 26 or 27th.  That would be the best for us for sure.

Hi,
Due to some family health issues and that being a priority, I've only been lurking here from time to time. Sometimes life just gets a little intense.
I saw this and thought it would be pretty cool and seems to be drawing alot of interest. If this is something my wife would like, would it be OK if Val and I came aboard with ya'll?

Bruce,
Been meaning to contact you (and Viking). The family is heading up to JFK to meet Dedushka for his first ever trip to the states on March 31. We'll be in and around the area until the 4th of April when we return to FL. If y'all can carve an hour or two out of your busy schedules, we'd love to hook up for lunch or dinner. If not, it's completely understandable.  :).

diffinantly sounds very interesting!!

my last cruise was on carnival, and quite awhile ago,,
but very interesting as well !  :D
ended up it had been booked mostly by an all womens brazillian college , so there were well over a thosand single young brazillion girls.. me being single at the time (and having lived in brazil two years)  i had a simply horrible time! AWFUL , i'll never forget it.

but i'm sure  cruises in general are a good time, so past bad experince wouldnt keep me from giving it another try..
;)

Legal and Olga,

We are looking forward to this and I'll contact the Carnvinal representative shortly.

But I'll bet that this forum will be rather boring when when we are all away and partying.  :D

Thanks for this great idea and plan!
