FSUW not very perceptive?
« on: March 02, 2007, 07:27:11 PM »
Discussion forums are littered with opinion, experiences and just occaisionally a few facts if one sifts through it all.  Most often the discussions, if we can call them that, gravitate towards various people relating "How they did, or are doing it" and equally often, defence of that position if another challenges it.

RWD stands out to me as being far above many in so far as the discussions are usually quite robust, however usually stop short of outright insulting matches. (usually) The male posters seem to eventually filter into one of two general groups.

One group might be called the "Iron fist in the velvet glove" group and are usually practical in their approach to the entire process, don't have time to waste on nonsense, like to set their ducks in a row and are fairly focused on acheiving a workable result.

The second group might be called the "Wet Sock" group and are much more focused on abstract matters, seem to be convinced that anything and anyone can and will achieve success in this pursuit.

The one thing I have noticed beyond doubt the two groups share is, an almost religious fervour for extolling the virtues in one form or another of FSU women. Some seem to think they are Goddesses, some seem to see the more realistic matters of their many fine personal qualities, me no less than the next person.

The matter that is amusing is this.  Almost invariabley, while men are extolling these virtues and often don't agree or want to debate this or that point, they do agree on one thing, that is, these ladies are intelligent.  Gotta say the evidence in not stacking up to support that...!! Why?  Because these ladies seem to be crazy enough to continue to choose to spend their lives with the stupid bastages like those of us who continue to argue all around these subjects.  ;D ;D

FWIW ::)

I/O,

 What the hell are you doing? Shut UP! We've been keeping this a secret!!! Now you've gone and let the "cat out of the bag' and they will know that we are just not worth the trouble. I'm really pissed off at you now. Elena will read this and want to know just what the hell I've been doing screwing up her life. You better hope we don't get a hold of you now...  ;D

Ken

If your wife really gets her dander up, I have a spare room. Better than the dog house and besides you can be on the beach!! (yes, I know, a bit cold for that right now, but it could be awhile before she cools down) ;).
Tom Hanks in Castaway: You never know what the tide may bring in.
Viking: But you still need to walk along the beach to find it.

G,

 Thanks much! I don't know which would be worse right now... Your beach or our 2 ft. of snow. Either way I'm screwed... ;D

Ken.........You know, there is a certain safety in the isolation we enjoy waaaaaaaaay down here at the bottom of the world. ;D ;D Bring it on....!!

BTW Plenty of spare rooms here if the sh!te really hits the fan.  Cynical visitors always welcome and it is a pleasant 90o here right now. :P :P

Nevertheless, I think you kinda caught the point I was making.  ::) ::)
