I know that you can have Canadian AND American citizenship as that was an option for my kids who were born in Canada with me being an American. I would imagine that it will depend on "what" the other country is as to whether the US would allow you to have the dual citizenship.

Well, there it is in black and white (although not from the USCIS).

I guess that I should expect this after dealing with "Immigrations" for the last six years but when I read "absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen" it sounded to me fairly ironclad. Go figure...
