Well concerning rugs, like in 70-80's these were the attribute of a wealthy families well why not it is a part of history in Russian families

I have rugs at home still , though I do not like them so much but well how can I throw them away if they meant a lot to my mom and her mom , they cost them a lot of money as well so it is just a part of some history and I respect it, but personally in my new place I would not have such rugs now:)) maybe some paintings would be better:)

LoL!! Yeah!!   And yes, that other post about the leopard print and rugs was a joke. I forgot about the emoticon. But the question was serious.  I am rather curious as to when/where the "Rug on the Wall" tradition began? 

A Russian man at some point in time had to look at his wife, then look at the wall, and begin banging his head madly.  Then later, the woman looked at the hole in the wall, the bump on his head, and then at the rug, and the rest is history...

The scammer called today.  She messed up, her number came up first, then she hung up and called back private.  First digits are 749.  No money request yet, wish she'd hurry up and get to it.

7 is country code for Russia, 495 is area code for moscow.  You have two of the remaining 7 digits.  it is not a mobile phone.

I thought that was weird to.  Here's some more of the numbers.  749-578-511, hopefully this helps more.  Not a cell.  She said she was calling from a pay phone, but why the hang up and call back?  was a calling card she said and then she'd call me tommorrow.  Monday, she goes to Moscow to the embassy.  That's probably when the money question will come.
