Everyone thinks that money is not the key for success.
That is good news to me.
so what's the explanation of women enlargening their dating pool and "marriage agencies"? I have read TRs where those in attendance noted how quickly girls wanted to get married.
At the very, very, very least there is inflated interest. Some one who is out of game in the US, seems to find a couple of extra innings in the FSU.
Would anyone oppose this?
My current thinking on this (and note I have NO qualifications so take it with a grain of salt

), and it could change is two fold, basic needs and demographics.
The easier explaination, as proposed by some places online deal with the demographics. From my perspective, the recent history of FSU is a history of tragedy. The tragedy has manifested itself in the form of poor leadership and the imposition of inhuman political and economic systems.
The result is that the russian people lost an entire generation of men in the first world war before they withdrew to have their own civil war in the Bolshevik revolution.
Well, Stalin had his purges killing of 10's of millions more people that he thought were a threat. This included large numbers of military officers. Well when WWII rolled around, anyone who knew anything about war was killed in the purges or in the process of dieing in Siberia. Well needless to say after 6 million casualties, Stalin finally lets someone who knows what they're doing actually make an impact (Zukov sp?). So WWII, Russia loses another generation of men.
WWII passes and guess what? There isn't enough food and so a man made famine in the form of repatriation of food stuff occurs and the Ukranians are killed en mass. More killing and inprisonment and the story never seems to stop.
Well, whenever you have a closed society you are bound to have a lot of waste and mismanagement of resources. In this case besides the fact you had all the backwardsness that occurs when you don't have market system that has price discovery, you also had a state that allocated 25% of gdp to the cold war (where in the US it was around 3-5%). So you have an inefficient economy hobbled by military expenditures. Ergo you have great equality but unfortunately everyone is equally poor.
So from my perspective the demographic issue is one where the menfolk of FSU has been pretty much decimated for a long time and this has changed the nature of how the women view their men and their families.
The money 'thing' is from my perspective a little more complex. From my perspective this is more of an issue you get when you look at Maslow's heirarchy of needs. Yes, FSU is poor. That is patently obvious. This of course would make people who live in a poor area want to be better off for themselves and their families. But there isn't free movement of factors of production inclusive of labor. One option is through marriage.
But your question deals with more than simply meeting basic necessities. If the FSUW moves from the FSU to the US then you have met her basic needs in the heirarchy. She will be in the same level of the heirarchy as AW. This means that for your relationship to work, you need to share in her experience of self actualization. If your relationship is predicated upon purely meeting basic needs, then I think the relationship will fail in short order.
I think that meeting basic needs for her and meeting basic needs for him are 'introduction'. It is only the beginning. I think one needs to follow through the dating process to find someone who truly is compatible.
Yes, I have noticed the same regarding the extra innings thing. I don't think that it is necessarily strange. I know several AW who have married much older men. With that being said, I do think that FSUW do 'settle' some for economic opportunity. That's more impetus on the men's side to ensure that there is a true connection. Otherwise Icarus, once she is here she will realize that there are more compatible and available AM when she comes over.
