Well I guess we might as well let everyone know the good news.   I called NVC two weeks ago and found out our A/R had ended and our file was sent to Moscow.

I am glad neither of us is too superstitious.   We found out on Friday the 13th that our interview will be 9/11    Neither of those dates sound too lucky to me but hopefully we have used up our bad luck.

Otherwise we are having a great time and seem to have no problem at all with being around each other 24/7.   Actually we enjoy it totally.   We have been in Barbados for about a week now and stay here for two more before going back to Grenada for a week.   Mid August we will head home and work like crazy to get ready for the interview.

Congrats Turbo!

My wife is flying to Moscow on Sept. 11, also. Seems I recall in Maxum's thread several other guys heading to Moscow on this day, so maybe it's not a bad omen at all :)

Thanks ECR, Ken & Groov,   I appreciate the good wishes.   Hopefully neither date will bring us any bad luck.   A few years ago people got very nervous about flying on that day.   I think that has faded now.   She will be flying back to Barnaul that evening.  Hopefully with a big smile on her face.

Hey Turbo, every 6 years or so my birthday falls on a Friday, and
always on the 13th. Nothin' to it.

My best wishes to you and VWRW.

TG,

Very happy for you and VWRW!

What does your time frame look like from here? Do you think it will be any quicker than the normal K1 processing since they have already had you in the system for a long time now?

Thanks Capt B, Vaughn, DKMM, jj, (good luck to you on Aug 30th jj,  Makkin, Wayne and Ken.

Ken, they seem to have scheduled us fairly fast for an interview.  I am not sure if they were trying to make up for the delay a bit or if it was just luck of the draw.   It probably worked out pretty well.   We are going to be very tight on the police report but otherwise should have just enough time to get everything ready for the interview.

I had planned to be in Moscow with her for the interview but since we will have just spent so much time together and will be together soon after I am just going to DHL her the stuff from me.   She is going to fly over on the 9th, get her medical on the 10th, interview on the 11th and go home that night and wait for the visa and wrap up her things there.

Turboguy,

Do whatever you have to do but do not under any circumstances let your lady go to the consulate for the interview alone if for nothing else it will help ease her mind. Then depending on what the two of you have decided as to your time frame to come to America be sure you are with her for the going away party, be ready for the tears.

You know your lady best but believe me no matter what she says she will appreciate more than you will ever know your being with her at this time.

TG,

That IS a tight time frame for her. Hope she can get the medical results same day. I've heard some have had luck with this and others have not.

 Look out Beaver Falls!  :D

Thanks for the advice TigerPaws.   I appreciate it and we have a lot of time to work out the details so we will have a serious talk about your advice.

Ken,  My understanding is that with MOM as long as you are there by noon and let them know in advance it is not a problem.   With A O Medicina it is impossible.   We will ask when we call for the appointment and make sure it will not be a problem.   If they can't do that then she will have to spend the weekend in Moscow.

Sorry for the late congrats here T/G - I just noticed this thread.

So...  Congratulations.

What a relief it must be to be out of the A/R.

I hope they don't stick you in it again after the interview.
