doug, thanks, and i understand your POV, but jb does not post like donna does, with all the condescending insults. i have no problem taking criticism, but not talking down to me and insulting like donna's post above. it does not have to be directed at me. it just does not belong here. it is insulting, regardless of who she is talking about. i am just tired of reading this crap. it is like this woman i dated, it seems as if she has a "contradict/disagree" button on her. no matter what is said, find something to disagree with and if you cannot find something, twist it or make up something up. 

i used to admire her for some of the same reasons. she is tough and direct. i like that too. but i draw the line at insulting and talking down to me. i do the same but they have to start it first. i have no problem lowering myself to their level. it is the only way you might be able to communicate with them.

here is another thought...i always try and put the shoe on the other foot..think any man would get away posting away, basically overtaking a board, insulting women and russians on a women's board? think any of us could get away with the way some of these RW behave here for so long if we we doing the same to a board for women to discuss men? i'd be surprised if they allowed us to post at all, let alone overtake a board.. 

i do not have to post here, i do not have to share my experiences with the board (which, i thought, this was all about). it was ok at first, but slowly and surely is has been overrun by these RW with either an agenda or a hatred of everything american.

i am sure, if the was a mirror website for women like this board, men or at least men who had nothing to do with this (like elen has nothing to do with this) would not be allowed to post. they would be recognized as the trolls they are and not allowed to post or it would be open season on the men with no holds barred, not even a very tolerant dan.

anono, the rules are simple.  If you stop posting they win.  Do you really want that?  Isn't it far easier just to simply ignore them.

By responding to the provocations you are giving them the attention they want.  If you ignore their posts then they might get the point that their behavior isn't interesting or useful.

Personally I do find interest in their posts sometimes, and Elen displays the classic behavior of the Russian inferiority complex.  What better tool to train newbies with than a stunning example of this?

Of course by posting about this in your thread, we're giving in to them.  So I say enough of this, let's get on with your story as I find it both educating and interesting even if I don't post that much.

interesting thing happened at the ticket agency yesterday.

there is a ticket office for flights and trains just behind "mango" off independence square. i wanted to get tickets to kharkov but there was a long line. i decided to come back later. i went to eat, had my "aura" photographed and videotaped at some hippie looking place where you can buy amulets and stones. went back to the ticket office and same line. so i went and had my hair cut.

went back to the ticket office a third time, same line. this time i got in line, it was 17:00 and i knew i had to get tickets today or risk not getting the type i wanted. once in line, a tall blonde walks in, sees the line, sees me at the end of the line and says something in russian. i gesture all the other people are in front of me and i am the last in line. she stands behind me. i read the results of this "aura" filming and as the line moves slowly, she takes a seat once one is available. i also take a seat a few minutes later, this one across from her.

we exchange glances and small smiles. i finally get my ticket, she is next in line behind me. i leave the office and loiter outside, fiddling with my ticket and phone as if i am sending a text message (i was). she walks out, looks at me and says something. i say "nema noga ponglishiki"? she says yes. turns out she was a terp for an agency.

i will call this lady "E". i ask her if she has time for a cup of coffee. we walk to passage and sit down and have green tea with jasmine. she tells me about her bad experience with an agency she will not name other than to say it is owned by a guy from CA. she also tells me how she asked that her profile be removed because of some other experience she had. she is now trying to make it as an independent translator and apartment locator. she shows me her card. i instantly recognize her photo from one of the agencies i used to browse. i may have written to her, i cannot remember. if i did not, i am sure i considered it as she fits my criteria.

she asked if i like to shoot pool. i have a regulation size billiards table in my house but i usually do not tell people before shooting pool. so we went to shoot pool ($10 usd per hour, a bit pricey). i learn from her that the agency she used to work for (and she had a profile at) sends letters without the ladies knowledge or consent. i also learn she asked that her profile be removed and her photos returned. she was told the photos are now the property of the agency and they refused to pull her profile. she says they "had the nerve" to continue calling her for over a year to ask if she was willing to meet men who were "writing" to her. she also told me her profile is now at several agencies, most of which she has never heard of.

this is further proof and a reason why, if you guys are writing a lady or ladies, get away from the agency as soon as possible. have a third party verify things for you. have something delivered from another source, someone you trust.

i do not write letters to ladies at agencies anymore. i used to reply only to ladies who "write" to me. i was under the impression J wrote to me first. i found out yesterday from her english teacher, who is the mother of the terp from her agency, that J did NOT write to me first. i was asked to please not tell natali (they agency manager, maybe owner) but J did NOT write to me first.

i am not surprised and i suspected this anyway as i am skeptical of everything.

i posted about this before, maybe in a now deleted TR. i posted about how i know cindy agency has done this in the past and i have since heard the same stories from other cindy agency users. i even heard this is what rostick used to do for jack, writing letters pretending to be a lady. i quote the hearsay (i was told this is what rostick said to a friend of mine; "you would not believe how tiring it is to sit at a computer romancing guys"..  so i suspect most agencies write letters for the ladies without their knowledge.

in the post i made about this deception, i went as far as to say maybe it is not all bad, maybe if it results in two people meeting and hitting it off, how "bad" can it really be? i think the consensus was, it is not a good thing for the agencies to do and i agree, simply because it is dishonest, for one.

but, i met J this way and i am glad i met her. so maybe i have to thank the agency for being the lairs they are, tell them how dishonest they are, yet thank them for meeting J. sort of a dilemma.

anyway, this lady bought tickets to go to dneper to visit her family. she told me she had to be at the train station by 22:30. we shot a few games of pool and then we parted ways with talk about her calling me when she returns.

i went home, cleaned up, put on warmer and better clothes. i took the metro to the vokzal and bought a single rose. i waited for the display to indicate what track the kiev-dneper train would depart from and waited at the steps leading down to track 10. sure enough along comes E. i walk up behind her, she turns around and i say "imagine meeting you here!". she asks, what are you doing here? i pull out the rose i had beneath my sport jacket and present it to her. i told her maybe she will need something to make her bunk bed smell a bit better. we walk to a train and she almost gets on. the train lady tells her this train does not go to dneper. we had gone to track 11, on the other side of the platform. the train to dneper had not arrived at track 10 yet. this gave us a little more time to talk. she was impressed that i came down to see her at the station. she hugged me twice. i told her to give me a call when she returns from dneper (she is going only for two days). i told her i leave for the usa next week and i have something to attend to in kharkov.

she tells me she will call when she returns...

the more i see, the more i think the best way to meet ladies is to simply come here and meet ladies by chance or go to an agency and meet ladies who are available at that moment. writing letters may be a total waste of time because many of these ladies are not even aware you are "writing" to them....

voyager, you put it very well. i have met people over here who have told me my TR's have been part of their inspiration to come here, had another guy tell me it is an "honor" to meet me once he realised who i am from the board..  he goes back to the "other board" days...so that is part of the gratification i get in spite of the troll and abusive insulters.

i am starting to wonder if J's english teacher has an agenda ;-) 

she adores this girl and has nothing but positive things to say about her. she rated  a "5" (top score) on her latest english lesson. from what i can tell, J goes to english lessons after work every day.

"T" (her english teacher) says she is a good lady. she has many ladies as students but seems to single J out as one of the best in terms of what kind of lady she is.

she says my mother will have a good daughter. she went on to say that after seeing me and knowing how beautiful J is, we will have beautiful children. she also added "do not hurt this lady".

she then went on to ask if i have any brothers....  ;-)

well thank you turbo and bruno....maybe someday i will post about what's happening...but not until dan realizes he has to do something about the one or maybe two RW that run rampant over this board, one with absolutely nothing to contribute but one stupid one liner after another.

in another section i see he has asked the opinion of others (i cannot post in other threads) about who should be allowed to post here...my opinion is anyone should be able to post here, even those not involved in the process. the line should be drawn when the tone of those posts (of those not involved) are either ignorant, hateful, twisted or continues to follow a line of slight insults or more. if, for instance, a comedian has funny one liners to add to all the threads here, it could be fun. but there is nothing funny about elen (since we all know who this one person is). she should be limited like i am, to have a thread all her own. she could go and copy whatever posts she wants and take them back to her thread and make all the ignorant one liner comments she wants. anyone bored enough to want to read her drivel could then go to her thread and read them instead of her polluting the entire board. this would allow nutbags like her to post to her delight yet it would save us the aggravation of having to read her tripe unless we went to her thread to read it. of course, i for one would never visit her thread and in effect, she would cease to exist. she would be able to post all she wants (which seems to encompass her entire life. perhaps if she paid as much attention to her husband, he would not be running around on her).

this would be a good solution. dan, since he hasn't the balls to ban her, could allow her to continue to post but it would be limited to her thread only. those who want to read that garbage (which i doubt there are any other than one or two of the other troubled RW here) could go to her thread and read and post with her all they want. it would then leave the trip reports and other threads which most of us pour a lot into free of her crap. the thing that gets me is that she contribute absolutely nothing to this board but is free to dominate it. donna, on the other hand, even though she is abrasive and has no idea how to put her thoughts across without being harsh, well, she at least has a brain and something to contribute. (by the way donna, i agree with you, we have absolutely no business in iraq. anyone listening to bush's tripe the other day, who think there is some connection between 9/11 and iraq is in denial. like i say many times, there are the 50 million idiots who voted for the guy (that is, unless there was voter fraud which i think there was) and then there is the rest of the world). these other "justifications" that he was gassing so and so..or the lies about WMD, "instilling democracy" by force are just crazy. if some other country was trying to impose themselves upon the usa with military force, for whatever reason, i would be an "insurgent". bush likes to call them "terrorists" for political purposes.

by the way, i am leaving ukraine in a few hours. i have a lot to say about a lot of things but i have no intention of posting here as long as it is elen's board. if dan ever decides to exert his moderating on her as he has with me, then i might reconsider. but so far, it seems he values her tripe over the work of people like leslie and me, men who obviously have something to contribute.

i can understand and even promote the idea of allowing anyone to post here. with the one exception as stated above. if someone over time shows to us they have nothing to say worth reading, or in fact are causing nothing but trouble and causing contributing writers to leave, then they should be dealt with.

Hi Anono,  I hope you are leaving Ukraine with the results you had hoped for.  It is too bad everyone can't do it the way you did in terms of the effort, organization and time.   You definately do it right.  

I don't know if the day will come that you can resume your story or not but I know we are all interested and many of us hope that day will come.   There are a few unfinished stories here and a few that should never have begun but it is interesting to share somenes efforts and dreams and hope they lead where they want to go.

Man, I've been to Billings, MT... in fact the longest six years of my life was one winter I spent there. I think one of the reasons you have trouble finding a woman is that you are geographically undesirable. Either you check out the profiles of women living exclusively in Sibera, or consider doing a Tee-Pee crawl in Wolf Point. If I recall correctly there's a VFW in Wolf Point where you can get a look at the local honeys on any Saturday night. :D Some of those Souix ladies aren't half bad.

The really funny part of that post is that there is a VFW in Wolf Point, MT; and yours truly did do a Tee-Pee crawl there one Saturday night.

If anyone has doubts about the existance of Wolf Point, MT; they should google search "Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of Montana", or "Fort Peck Indian Reservation".

It's all there, I promise.

I do not advise doing a Tee-Pee crawl over in the western part of Montana near Browning or Cutbank, that's Blackfoot country and they still collect the odd white man's scalp if they catch one unawares and think they might get away with it.
