Nudity is possibly a restriction, not sure. I do not though recall a topic where russian women married to AM would take pictures of hot or not so hot men in the streets of this US and discuss the looks with sexual or funny context. Talk about mutual respect...?

No, I am not bringing in the issue of "mutual respect" - not yet, anyway.

I am simply asking:

Do women discuss the physical appearance of men?

I take it from your other comment that the other forum DOES allow photos to be posted. Is that correct?

Women discuss everything. They do not TAKE PICTURES of random people as sexual objects and post it on their website. And why do you leave respect alone? Is it not a requirement to talk about women with respect on this site?

marusya,
I have not seen any discussion by you personally on the other forum, but there is a thread where other members of that forum were more than happy to "discuss the looks with sexual or funny context" of photos of several married Russian women on this forum, for at least 21 pages (last I checked)

And why do you leave respect alone? Is it not a requirement to talk about women with respect on this site?

Is it somehow more proper and respectful to look at pictures on this site and go talk about them in a bad way at another site?

I find it somewhat disingenuous for women to be complaining about men discussing beautiful women.

The simple facts are - women discuss men, just as men discuss women.

Those photos were taken of women walking along the street. Nothing more.

If you ladies want to get REALLY spun up, you need to do a search on the website for 'wickedweasel'. Lots of photos there too.

Guess what - men are going to discuss women (and vice versa). They have in the past - they will in the future - and they do now. Another fact worth considering - women ARE sexual beings. Most men enjoy having sex with women. Most women (hopefully) enjoy having sex with men. It just is. Since it *is* - that will be discussed as well.

Let's stop with the politically correct horse manure and just 'discuss' things that are REAL. And we will do it respectfully and without any teenage shenanigans.

Are you 'up' for it - or not?

I am not sure what Jet is talking about, but I do not think that if someone did the same on the other site it is OK to do so here.
I read this topic and agreed with someone saying that I would not want a picture of my sister or friend appear on a site like this with comments like that. (even if their fasion statement is not conservative enough for you) I do agree that all people discuss everything but this are pictures of real people, some taken almost "upskirt" and it is not their choice to take it out. If you wish, to me it is not manure. I see that it is for you, especially that business is involved...

First of all - there are NO "upskirt" photos. If I managed to miss them, please send me a PM with the link to the post with the photo and I'll take a close look. I may even remove one *if* it is there.

Next - *if* you bothered to read the exchange in this topic, you will note that there are divergent opinions being expressed. I already provided you a link to the RWD Vision in which divergence of opinion is welcomed. Thanks for sharing yours.

Here, Marusya, I agree with you. I do not like Jack's photos either. I find them, well, a bit adolescent and smacks of voyeurism.

Thank you Misha. BTW you are not the only one AM member who agreed with this opinion. It is my impression that Admin asks for links purposely pretending he doesn't know what we are talking about. Perhaps this is his way of supporting this site. Too sad for us, russian women ;-) I am not going to argue as the point of respect was disregarded by Admin from the start. Thanks again.
PS. I am happy that I happen to be married to a guy with enough manners not to take pictures of women "from behind" and posting it without their permision. I mistakenly thought that american men are like that in general.

Not quite true.

I wrote that I would not address the issue of "mutual respect" quite yet.

I *did* however, ask that we first establish mutuality of discussing physical appearance. I felt that was foundational to addressing the other issue of "respect."

There was also another topic in which the issue of respect, at least tangentially, was being explored with you - so I thought it best to keep them separate.

Exactly what I wrote. I was not "joking" nor trying to be coy. I wrote exactly what I intended to communicate.

Do you have something specific that is unclear?

:o Please don't judge all American guys by what Jack does! Understand that Jack is a commercial member, so there has already been some discussion as to whether he posts these photos as a way to share his experience or if it is for a more self serving (business) purpose. I think most of the guys that have been here for a while understand clearly that the women in the photos are NOT looking for foreign husbands, they are just people that happened to be out on the street the same day Jack was. I would think that people coming to a site named Russian Women Discussion would expect to find some discussion OF Russian women as well as some discussion BY Russian women, because we do in fact, have both here. Personally, I find the internet posting of photos of women who obviously have no idea their picture was taken to be offensive and voyeuristic (I've never taken photos inside a church for the exact same reason - you want to see it, go look for yourself) but not every guy is like me, who has been to Russia and seen similar sights with his own eyes. There are people here who have not yet been to Russia or Ukraine, who sincerely appreciate a glimpse into their possible future for what it is - a snapshot on the street.

I think the jury is evenly divided here regarding Jack's photos, 1/3 like them, 1/3 don't, & 1/3 don't really care either way  ;)

Yep - that is consistent with what I wrote. Here is a link to this other topic -- http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?topic=7684.msg137077#msg137077

In it, there seems to be some debate about sexual commitment and its timing.

I'll have to dig around to see if I can find the earlier poll we ran. IIRC the proportion in favor of the photo posts was quite a bit higher than 1/3 - but I'll have to see if I can find it.

It may have been prior to our current software platform - in which case, it would be lost. While the posts came across the migration OK, the polls did not.

I guess all that means there will not be a correction to the "respect" point untill enough women come and say they feel humiliated by pictures like these. I guess some things do not come natural to all of us.  :-X

Not really important! The point was that multiple veiwpoints have been voiced about this and earlier photo threads started by Jack, some in favor and some against. Whatever the ratio, it is inconsequential, other than noting that no opinion was unanimous.

Hmmm . . . you seem to have some difficulty connecting relevant posts. Oh well.

We can explore the topic of "respect" if you wish.

Do you consider respect to be universal and absolute?

I was taught that respect is something one commands through their own words and actions, not something to be demanded, because if you demand it is not really something you'll receive.

marusya,
You're starting to sound like you are demanding, possibly even threatening. You can be sure you will get the opposite of what you seek by going down that path with the members here.

I can not possibly demand anything here, or explore anything with admin. (It appears we see freedom of speech and manners/natural respect to the opposite gender in the opposite way) I noticed he comments everywhere I post. I just now read "children" and wanted to introduce myself there with a pic of my kid and myself, but may be I better just pass.

marusa,
This forum is open to many different points of view.  Sometimes there is a very spirited debate of conflicting ideas.  But the one thing you can count on here isthat Dan will be fair to all sides.  If he favors anyone it is usually the oppisite side of his own personal beliefs in an effort not to let his own views slant anything here at RWD.  Please do not allow a debate in one or two threads to change your participation here.  I know I welcome your point of view, even if it doesn't match my own.

Thanks Ken. Honestly I have a feeling this is why RW do not participate here as much as they could (in a positive way), even though I can promise you - they are interested. I posted may be 10 times but already got something like a warning from the site owner in my personal inbox! :o My opinion differs and, oh boy, do I sense it!
All I want to say is men are better of discussing women as NOTHING BUT sexual objects in a closed forum, where it doesn't offend other participants. It is not rocket science, its respect to the women from the other country.  :wallbash:

marusya,

That is just not true.

Feel free to post whatever it is that you feel is a "warning". I have sent you nothing out of the ordinary, and you probably received - just like everyone received - a PM to welcome you here. If you interpret anything in there as a "warning" you are, IMO, being hypersensitive - or exaggerating for effect.

Well, I can say that I feel in no way disrespected or humiliated by photos of other sexy RW posted on this board.  ;D  If I was, I'd be looking deep into my self-esteem and trying to correct something there.
