I didn't think about all these jokes before posting them, but I kinda hijacked SOCs thread here. I will post the rest of my jokes under time for some humor.

sorry SOC I wasn't thinking

Why Thanksgiving is the best holiday for men:

1) No gifts to buy!

2) Massive amounts of food and drink!

3) Football.  All day.

4) Leftovers!

5) Most people will have Friday off, except for the poor souls who work in retail.

Don't worry about avoiding temptation. . as you grow older, it will avoid you.-- Winston Churchill

Bit late, but as we say here, better late than never. I hope you all enjoyed a thanksgiving turkey of similar proportions to a wedding night, lovely thighs, tender breast and plenty of stuffing. ;D

Subject: THINGS YOU CAN ONLY SAY ON THANKSGIVING

I love Thanksgiving!!

1. Talk about a huge breast!
2. Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist.
3. It's Cool Whip time!
4. If I don't undo my pants, I'll burst!
5. That's one terrific spread!
6. I'm in the mood for a little dark meat.
7. Are you ready for seconds yet?
8. Its a little dry, do you still want to eat it?
9. Just wait your turn, you'll get some!
10. Don't play with your meat.
11. Just spread the legs open and stuff it in.
12. Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at once?
13. I didn't expect everyone to come at once!
14. You still have a little bit on your chin.
15. How long will it take after you stick it in?
16. You'll know it's ready when it pops up.
17. Wow, I didn't think I could handle all of that!
18. That's the biggest one I've ever seen!

Things that I am thankful for on this Thanksgiving:

For all the love I receive on a daily basis from Lena

For finding her on the other side of the world.

For having the impulsiveness to just give her a call initially

For having the balls to actually go to Russia

For being just dumb enough to take a colossal risk to marry her

For being smart enough to choose well

For having the patience to make our marriage work

For having two great adult children

For having an ex wife that birthed two great kids

For having an ex wife that helped raise them into great adults

For being smart enough to know when to end my 1st marriage

For having my health restored this year

For having the tenacity to start a new business

For being talented enough to make it a success

For the many great friends I have made at RWD

For Dan for creating such a wonderful forum

For living in San Diego and cooking turkey wearing shorts

For 9 AM football

For having the bird stuffed and cooking!

Well, I must say, these past 2 years have been quite an adventure for me in the FSU..... After so many highs & lows, and nearly giving up on it all, I give thanks for having met some of the most interesting women in the world in the FSU, and best of all my present FSU lady!  .....I have truly been enlightened to the FSU scene, due in part to the shared experiences & feedback from many of the members from this RWD forum! Anyway, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all!!!

A good day to sit back and think about all the things to be thankful about and spend time with family.

Well, it went great. We cooked a lot and ate a lot. :-) Tim was even surprised everything was that tasty.  ;)

Can you imagine this was actually my very first Thanksgiving dinner that i prepared for all these 7 years! Some crazy events didn't let me get to it at all before. American holidays are catching up to me only now.

Yeah, I cooked as well.

17 pound turkey
plus stuffing
gravy
potato salad
mashed potatoes
green salad
deviled eggs
pumpkin pie (my son made this)
roasted chestnuts with bacon
sauted carrots with capers
several relish plates
chopped veggies with several dips
baked rolls
cinamon rolls
eggnog
Ice Cream (for the hot cinamon rolls)

I will live on left overs until Monday or Tuesday
then Make turkey Enchilladas or a Stew from whatever is
left.

Congrats Anastassia! (I'm still cooking the Turkey at our house)

Same here, but I really enjoy it, and Thanksgiving has become Liliya's favorite "American" holiday. We only had a 13lb bird this year, but for the three of us it was plenty. Still enough leftovers for a few more turkey/stuffing/cranberry sauce sandwiches  8)

Truthfully, I like cooking Thanksgiving dinner too.  Lena is getting the hang of it though.  No, not the cooking part, but this year asked "where's the cranberry sauce?"  It about floored me, because I wasn't going to serve it because nobody really likes it any way.  But she insisted that "Thanksgiving is not the same without cranberry sauce."  Go figure.

Lena's parents can even relate to Thanksgiving now because I cooked a full blown TG dinner for them while they were visiting in the middle of summer!  Lot's of quizzical looks from them, but in the end they over ate just like us Americans.
