Change of Address
« on: November 28, 2007, 09:58:51 AM »
We moved into our new home back in the spring, but never
notified Immigration. No petitions in progress as of this
year so it seemed unimportant. Is there one easy place to
notify them of the change?

The girls can be done online via USCIS. You will have to print your's out and mail it in because you're the sponsor. Don't ask why just follow the maze of rules and procedures that is the typical MO for USCIS.

Hope all is well down yonder!

Ahhh, would that be to the local office, the Texas Service Center,
Chicago or Lee's Summit, MO ?? I ask because at one time or another we
heard from all of them, LOL ~

We're well. Is the crisp air in Wisconsin nipping you yet?

I was reading an article written by an immigration attorney. He says do not think your time with USCIS is over when you receive the permanent green card or citizenship. Apparently even if she is a US citizen there are some instances where USCIS will have to be contacted. If I can find the article I will post a link.

for petitions of even more relatives or replacement of lost certificates, even the naturalized one will be seeking the help of USCIS. . . . .

The law requires nearly all non-U.S. Citizens* to report a change of address within 10 days of moving by completing a Form AR-11.

*The only persons exempt from this requirement are nonimmigrants currently in A or G status (e.g. foreign government officials and international organization aliens) and certain nonimmigrants who do not possess a visa and whose current stay in the U.S. has not exceeded or will not exceed 29 days.

As for the Sponsor`s Change Of Address, you were supposed to mail it to the USCIS within 30 days.

Translation, Consultation, 3-Way Call - it can be done by RussianGal.
