Good for Taz, then. Do travel insurances also include a secretary that can take down and post T/Rs, in case he's incapacitated ;D?

Assuming I am not dead or severely incapacitated, I could use a little recorder. Myrddin could transcribe my TR and post it here 8).

With any luck I might be able to get another episode or two posted tonight if I can get my work done. I am just swamped at work and I have vacation coming up pretty soon. I have soooooo much work to get done before I go or I'll be working on "work" instead of "working" on my vacation when I am gone.

As for trip insurance, I used to carry it myself. Now my work covers me for a lot of things when away from home even if not for business. I used to always make sure I had the air ambulance coverage but I should check into my policy at work and see if it is covered. I know my insurance will cover me at least 50% if hurt while away and 100% after a certain threshold but I hope never to really have to use it.

I did collect a nice little scar as yet another trip souvenir from Khersones. Pretty soon I'll have the entire set of souvenir scars! There are a limited edition collector's set available only in the FSU. If you want your own set call now. Operators are standing by!

Get off your butt and go! Don't make excuses why you can't do it, find a way to make it work! Always go with a backup plan too!!!

Here's a down-payment of 5 rubles for my set ;).

Moonlight cruise, 2 beautiful women, what not to like?

We continue to tour Khersones. Once over closer to the Black Sea, the view is amazing but the winds are incredibly strong. They are about a steady 30 mph if not higher. I show everyone where you can go sunbathing and a lot of people are out doing just that. Standing by the water with the strong wind, Lana is actually cold and so is Zhana. Being the gentleman that I am I offer to hold her and keep her warm. She gladly snuggles up to me being careful not to hit my injured arm. Truth be told I didn’t mind sharing the body heat at all as I was feeling a bit chilled too.

Out at sea, less than a half mile from the coast, I see a Russian missile cruiser coming into port. A bit later I can hear rapid cannon fire as well. It is obvious that the ships are coming into port for Victory Day. As I look down the beach I can see a few other ships in front of the missile cruiser. Looks like they are going to have a pretty good turnout.

We continue on and see the rest of Khersones. Of course take a ton of photos and have a good time. We get back to main part of Spol and have dinner. There is a nice little restaurant down by the port. We go into eat things are going pretty well. Girls chow down, SK and I reminisce about how good the day was. It truly was a great day other than the issue with my arm. My arm is absolutely killing me but so far only Lana knows.

It is now dark and while it wasn’t exactly warm earlier in the day it was pretty nice when not near the wind. Now it is in the low 50’s F and possibly upper 40’s. The wind off the sea isn’t warming anything up. I suggest we sort of take a night time cruise on the water. While there isn’t an official excursion at this time of night I suggest we just take one of the cutters that ferry people from one side to the port to the other. I did this before with Lana during the day the last trip and she really enjoyed it.

Everyone seems game so off we go. It is a beautiful night for a makeshift cruise. Stars are very visible. Almost nobody on the boat but us. I definitely wouldn't mind it being a bit warmer though. At first the women want to just sit in the main cabin area. Finally I lure Lana out to the observation deck with the promise I will keep her warm. She finally succumbs to my charm and we have a very romantic time on the rear deck. I hold her close and she melts into me. It is a wonderful time. We make it to the other side but it only stops for 2 minutes and they tell us not to get off. It seems I got us on the wrong cutter. This is not the one I intended but it doesn’t really matter. I know now we will get taking to the other dock by the pristan. So off we go there. Another nice ride on about the last ferry for the night.

We are now dumped off by the main monument of Spol and have a nice little walk back to the car. It is a romantic stroll but the one area of the park I wanted to really see is under construction. Oh well, maybe it will be ready by V Day. Turns out it wasn’t. We have a nice stroll back to the car. We load up and drop SK and Zhana off at their place and we finally make it back to ours.

Lana immediately starts to clean me up and gasps as she sees how bad it really is. She immediately wants me to go to a hospital. Apparently I’ve even really fooled her as to how bad it really was. My experience with FSU hospitals hasn’t been great. If I even remotely have another choice I’ll avoid going to them until the day I die. Matter of fact my life would have to hang in the balance before I’ll ever go back to one. This isn’t exactly that time.

As she peels off the shirt from my wound it of course starts bleeding again. She has to saw away pieces with a kitchen knife and then applies antibiotic cream I always take on a trip. It is pretty nasty and she isn’t exactly thrilled to do it but she picks out the shredded pieces of cloth that are in the wound itself. I make a temp bandage out of some clean linen I have and we tape up the entire mess until I can get real bandages. For certain I’ll be wearing long sleeve shirts for the rest of my trip.

Time for some rest. Lana feels really close to me and I feel likewise. This could be a great night if my arm didn't hurt so damn much at the moment.
