Probably has to do with the fact that your have two letters in your name.   They see a name like BC, jb, I/O and think that is the key to someone who will chew their head off.

Actually I have had quite a few pm's from those afraid to post.  Usually they comment that I seem calm and not too critical.   The last one was about 10 days ago, someone who made two posts, got their head handed to them in a basket and has since just read the forum regularly but never posts.

What I don't (and probably never will) understand is that is these guys are afraid to post on a rather anonymous internet forum due to the "bullies" how in hell are they ever going to be able to deal with all the trials and tribulations that come with this pursuit of a FSUW?

Sorry guys, but that just stinks of namby pamby and you just aren't going to make it with a Russian woman. Guess it's fine if its all just a fantasy and the love of their life is never any closer than the monitor.

Oh well... :noidea:

I'd wager that many of these phantom lurkers who don't post have cockamamie ideas that they'd love for others to validate but know the chances of that happening here are rather low. Instead they PM like-minded fellows whom they know will support their silly fantasies about FSU women.

In that case they should remain silent, otherwise their fantasies may evaporate when exposed to the light of day.

I rather suspect all the anonymous PMs is a lot like having imaginary friends when you are 5 y.o.   Hey~! T/G (2 letters) was any of those PMs from a guy named Harvey?

Actually, I've gotten a few PMs as well, mostly from people who agree with me but maybe don't want the rest of the board to know they agree with me.  (like the closet conservatives)

To some, fighting on an internet forum isn't worth the energy or effort.  It's not a matter of fear or shyness, but rather, priorities.  I'm fine with that.  Once I get married, I'm probably not going to spend much time arguing here either.  (However, I might need you guys to keep me from pulling my hair out on occasion...yes, I have all of my hair.)  But right now, I'm just waiting for my new life to begin, so you'll be seeing me taking on the establishment often.   :P

Well I can certainly understand people not wanting it be known that they agree with you...  :P

It's one of those odd little places that you find yourself in at times. When I step back and look at things I totally agree that there is no reason to get upset or fight about what someone says on an internet discussion board but (yes, there's that "but") when you (me in this case) are emotionally invested in something (Marriage to a FSUW) it is mighty hard at times to sit back and listen (read) the tripe that some folks put out without trying to put some reality back into it.

Sure, it's only "my" view of reality and we're all different (yada, yada, yada) but not THAT different nor THAT special when it comes to the vast majority of situations in this adventure.

Don't knock the establishment too much as you might just start to agree with them more and more the longer you are married...

I agree with this 100 %. Maybe I always did not feel this way, but I do now. And I also agree with the issue that if someone can't stand a bit of heat on an anonymous internet forum, then that man will have no chance when he has to go toe-to-toe with a real, live fighting-mad FSU woman.

I also said before that no two ways are the same, there is no one right way to find your other half in the FSU.  But what becomes more and evident to me is that - while each woman is unique - the life-programming and experiences that they had when they were growing up, create many similarities that can mirror your own relationship. This is what I still come here for. After 2 + years of marriage to an FSU woman there is still much to learn.

I can also certainly understand this. But when the attacks become too personal and people are belittled for their opinions. that is what is hard to understand, and it makes this forum hard to return to. If you are a newbie in any kind of venture, who's advise are you going to listen to?  Someone who has never met a FSU woman or someone who has been married to one for years?  What are your choices?  Of course you may consider to listen to the majority, you may listen to the guys married for a very long time.  You may listen to the guys married for a year or two as maybe you figure that times have changed and the more recent married better understand the environment these days.  You choice may be to listen to only yourself also.

As Bruce or Groovlstk said recently, if if find myself disagreeing with posters that I really respect, I often re-think my position. And more often than not I find myself coming around to their point of view. This is the great thing about RWD because you can always learn and adjust your outlook.

The real age difference according to the 47 "married" people on this board comes out to 15.34 years younger.  That includes trolls who purposely have skewed the real age difference older.   If people who are really married only voted I would expect it to be a wee bit younger, roughly 17 years.

Family and I were at disneyland the past week.  Wife and daughter liked magic kingdom etc., but NOTHING LIKE HAWAII, so you married guys are reminded where to take your wife when you want a vacation she will really like.

I find this post ridiculous. First of, what trials and tribulations are you referring to?
Personally for me the biggest "trial and tribulation" was choosing which girl out of the 2 finalists to make my wife and the second biggest one was waiting for 6 months for her to get here. You are making it sound like ALL Russian women are only interested in a tough superhero, which is not true. Different women want different type of men and many are not interested in a tough guy but would prefer a sensitive , gentle, honest, funny and loyal fellow.
Some guys are more sensitive than others and maybe just don't want to deal with attacks from a couple of bullies here, it doesn't make them any less qualified to find the right RW for themselves than you. Frankly none of us who hasn't been married for at least 10-15 years should be making statements like that. You don't know what your success is going to be long term and you just never know...in a couple of years you might be biting your tongue...
I can totally understand why some men don't want to post here. It has nothing to do with "being afraid" but might have a lot to do with not wanting to deal with the aggravation and wasting time on a bunch of bullies who are just having fun at the expense of others.
