Real age difference thread one more time

This poll is for real married Western men to FSU (Russian) women only.  It will not give an exact age difference but should show the correct range within a two year upward bias. 

Instructions for voting:

If you are 45 and your wife is 25 then 20 years or less;   37 and wife is 23 then 15 years or less; 48 and your wife is 27 then 19 years or less; 42 and wife is 26 then 17 years or less etc. 

The poll will have a slight bias to the upper range, but it will only be within two to five years maximum.   When one averages the numbers in each range with the range one should have a REAL number within five surely and probably within two of what is the REAL range married men actually have!

Pretty easy for the married ladies on the board to vote ie. if they are ten years younger than the Western man they married then choose the appropriate box!

One does have to read carefully to find their appropriate range...............sorry, the age ranges are a bit jumbled, but there are now way more choices then there used to be and I just kept on adding!  I figure you all can read and know you all are patient enough to find your appropriate BOX - you did get married now didn't you???

So far only 14 votes.  I know we have way more actually married than that...........so put your two cents in guys (and Jazzy (ok, maybe a few more)).   

So far the range is the same to 40 years younger.  Average comes out to a little bit more than 16 years younger.

Right now with 23 votes in the numbers come out to slightly above 15 years.   Who is the same age as their wife anyway?   I know which couple has the 40 year difference.

Hey Jazzy, it seems like placing your vote in:

3 years or less younger

would be just fine, as 2 years is certainly less than three  ;)

well yeah , but why he did not have 2 years  category is strange  really, he seems to be very much interested in 25 15 years of age gap :P

I think with the small number of votes,,
that one vote in the 40 years or less catergory is really going to sqew the numbers.


out of 28 voting now, you only have four couples ,with over 15 years,,
3 of those with 17years ,
 
24 couples with less than that difference.

yet you state the  *average* comes out at 16 years ?

AJ - granted the 40 skews, but it is a real person on this board.  The 0 year age difference needs to come forward.  I strongly suspect it is a troll vote.  In any event, if you take the 40 + 0 = 20 which is in the ball park.  Right now with 36 people polled when you add them all up and divide by the number of responders you still get a little over 16 years younger.  Throw out the 40 and keep the 0 and you still round up to 16.

A median value is not skewed by anomalies. 

I am not sure about the spread of individual votes, but the median seems to be either the 11-15 year range or the 17 years value.

I agree that the median is a better indicator. In this case, the median would be "15 years or less younger." If you were to put all the 38 answers from the smallest to the largest, the middle of the pile falls precisely in the category 15 years or less younger. It is also the mode (the most popular choice).

My wife is 2 yrs older than me but looks like a 30-35 yr old!! Must be all the midnight exercise! She works out 3-4 times a week(drives the guys crazy) and does yoga. She WILL NOT eat fast food. I think women her age are very curious as to how she looks so  young.

Been awhile since we were at 2000 members. Over 3000 now but more importantly I wonder if there is a way to know how many are married. That would at least give us a goal to shoot for for votes. Heck, if we could get half the marrieds to vote that would be mighty impressive!

Sandro, I think the problem with that is that guys who registered a year ago and have not been here since may not add much to the count.  Then of course there are those that registered, read but are afraid to post for fear someone bites their head off.  They probably are afraid to vote as well.

Yes, these 'mystery men' that we so often hear about.. Any hard evidence here?  I have had a handful of guys that posted one or two times ask me something more personal off board, but don't recall someone who simply pm'd and said he was afraid of posting.
