Congratulations, I'm sure having the interview out of the way is a huge load off both of your minds!

Chade,

Congratulations!

Soon you will be teaching your bride and her daughter how to yell "Go Tide!" (unless you are a War Eagle).

I don't have any experience in this , but have been giving the matter some thought becuase some of the ladies that I have written to have children. My thought would be if the father doesn't support the child financially, a good bluff might be to have your fiancee tell him that she is going to go and that if he doesn't sign the papers then he can have custody and therefore have the sole financial support that comes with it. Of course I said bluff because I don't think that many women would actually do this, but I think that it is a tact that could work.

NEVER, EVER EVEN THINK ABOUT ATTEMPTING SUCH A BLUFF.

Anna received her VISA for her and her 12 year old daughter without this form. They never requested it... or any of our pictures. They are from Yaroslavl.

The issue is that you never know when they might decide TO ask for the document. Could be during AOS, could be when they arrive at customs, the problems that it would create are huge compared to the trouble it takes to get it from the ex.

This is the woman and child(ren) who you are supposed to love and protect for the rest of your life. To be nonchalant about getting everything in place is not cool. If you don't care enough to do it right then you just plain don't care enough.
