I never watched one episode of South Park. Just could not get into it. Dunno why.

Start with the movie ("Bigger, longer and uncut"). I think it's the only one film I actually had to pause (watched it on VHS back then) because I was laughing so hard I thought I would die. Literally, I felt sick form laughter. An - hey! - it's a perfect date movie. :P

Shawshank Redemption - somewhere between chick and man flick.

South Park - some episodes are hilarious, but I had two sons screening them for me so I did not need to watch the bad ones. Because each episode was shown more than once, they would watch it early in the week and describe it to me in time for me to decide.

Where do the Coen Brothers flicks land? I enjoy them so much, starting with Blood Simple. Fargo is still one of the best, especially if you know the people from Minnesota.

I like Fargo but my man thinks it's too cruel. I guess it's a chick flick, too much for male to handle.

A man who wasn't there was really neat too.

Is it possible that your man is the "chick?" of the family. I thought RW only wanted "strong men." Relax, it's a joke. And those two crazy kidnappers were cruel - they were convicted serial felons.

Two thumbs up for The Man Who Wasn't There.

Your opinion of Big Lebowski? Ironically, it is my older son's favorite film (yes, the son who enjoys graphic Rambo beheadings). He identifies with underachievers. My RW liked it but did not undersatnd the nuances.

This is like an opposit of chick flick. If you are looking for a definition of an anti-chick-flick - just say Big Lebowski. Dude.

For a long time my signature at many discussion boards was (again, Simpsons lol): "Underachiever and proud of it" :toocool:

Okay, it is becoming apparent - I am not a chick flick man. Yet conflict, I enjoyed "In & Out" (being a Kevin Kline fan) and that reminds me of his Fish Named Wanda. I suppose if you laugh a lot, it is between chick and man flick.
