Best place to get an RW is from the source. Then you can have more effect on her acclimatization to your local environment.

I find this approach quite egoistic.

My wife has been inundated over the last 5 years with both positive and negative aspects of living here (and yes, a lot of communication with other FSU/RW in our area).

I have never tried to have 'effect' on her transition.. I believe even attempting to do so would be like lighting a slow burning fuse.

Although still quite RW at her core, her adaptation is driven almost entirely by her learning processes.

I can only plant a seed, the rest is up to her.

I'd have to agree w/BC, here. I've seen many posts about women "changing" when they arrive in the West and how it's safer to look for RW in their own country so that you can keep her on the straight and narrow path during her adaptation to life here. I think it's a pipedream, women who are ultra-competitive w/other expats or who spend their husbands' $$ like water were like that BEFORE they arrived. The only difference is that they now have freer latitude to behave selfishly.
