Misha I knew you were cool  8) and had no doubts you would answer correctly. But I wanted to catch you. You might be interested to know that the new language reform allows to use a neutral or musculine noun.

Спасибо! I was reading about the new dictionary that is coming out: "Комплексный нормативный словарь современного русского языка." I will have to buy this dictionary next time I am in Russia.

What dictionary do you use? I find MultiLex is very useful, very good navigation.

Online, I like the reverso dictionary: http://dictionary.reverso.net/english-russian/

The main advantage is that it gives you a number of options when translating a word.

At home I have the big Oxford Eglish/Russian dictionary as well as an older толковый словарь.

All I know is that Spanish is very easy to learn compared to Russian...

There are  many words  in Spanish that are very much the same as in Russian .
I speak  some Spanish  and  listening  to my  wife made me realize this .

The Russian language, as all other languages, borrowed many words from other languages. There are, for example, many words from the French language for example in Russian: plage, étage, magasin, etc...

RussianWind - that is such a cool site! I entered a couple of odd words I know, and yeah -
it brought up variations, useage, etc. I also like the red lettered accent notations...

Great tool  ---  Thanks much !!

Vaughn you confuse me now. I attached a screen shot of a local program which costed me about $30 or so. A great tool, together with general dictionaries, they have few specific dictionaries implemented like medicine, economy, sociology, abbreviations etc.

Nice bit of software, and it's available free of charge on many torrent trackers.. :) I wonder if the English part is better than Lingvo x3..

Grape in Russian has no plural so it’s masculine.

Vynograd (виноград) is plural.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten
