Kuna, who exactly is debating? I am presenting information from two different Embassies/Consulates warning Canadian and American citizens to not bring GPS equipment into Russia. You wrote: "I'd check the RU Embassy site to check on Russia but I've heard this before.  Maybe it's an urban myth, changed now or still the same.  You shuld check it out yourself to be sure." I simply checked out the Embassy sites myself out of curiosity to see if Russian laws had changed. I confirmed that it is not an urban myth and that a foreigner bringing in GPS equipment into Russia risks being arrested for espionage. Who exactly is being the child?
