Let me say this too; in nearly every case, I thought the guys were dating women that weren't their equals. I interpreted for some of them to just to help out and improve my Russian.   I whispered to more than one AM, "Between you and me, I think you can do better."   

Yep, I'm opinionated and I never met anyone as crass as Ed's Irish client.  But then they were all traveling independently (except for the 'bama boys).  Maybe the confident and self-assured guys do it that way, while those who don't believe in themselves rely on someone to lead them by the nose.

BTW, I have Irish roots myself (Rush Co Dublin) and proud to say so, but John was a discredit to any nationality and typical of none that I know.  Thank goodness for that!

The girls can express any "Fe" but still we didnt see their husbands-how they look and behave...I wouldnt trust that. Everybody wants to look very successful,especially in the net No,there are the girls who have got the great husbands,but also majority of those who have got something like John. Or worse.

I don't trust them also. The girls don't want to admit their husband in MOST cases are not the match. mAny of them are marrid to 15-20 years older men, many have financial problems.They talk of it now and then but in this topic they just say "Fe".

There was a county attorney from Michigan, a family therapist from Chicago, another psychologist from Utah, three good ol' boys from Alabama (not sure what they did but they sure partied a lot), a pilot and lawyer from Phoenix, a professor of astronomy from Tucson. and many, many more.

 I recently met a girl who came to marry an AM here. I looked through her pictures and was amazed with the contrast- when in Russia her husband-to-be was dressed decently and I wouldn't be able to tell who he was (by profession and life style). God, the way he lives here, his house, his life style- mama mia!

Upon re-watching the vids, I can see that Eduard did this guy a big disservice by filming him 24/7 and then compressing the footage into a bunch of short clips.. Anyone can be made to look like an idiot if you only capture the stupid things they do, like cussing up a storm after a couple beers.. If you ask me, the poor sap never had a chance to put his best foot forward because Ed kept stepping on his toes..

Such a statement really confirms his credibility, or lack of it!

If anyone on this board can say they met a line cook or wal-mart shelf guy in FSU, let him/her speak up.

Now, as to farmers, while I didn't meet any, I could very well have.  One thing RW have yet to figure out is that farming in the US is very different from farming in FSU.  In California and other agricultural states, farmers are the kings of their communities and can buy and sell most other businessmen.  How do you think California got to be the 9th largest economy in the world?  Agriculture is California's dominant industry; no other - not aerospace, not high tech, not film-making even come close.

FSUW attitudes about agriculture are not only misguided but just plain nuts (pun intended  ).  One lady in Odessa got a letter from a guy living in Rancho Bernardo, California (a nice suburb of San Diego).  She didn't want to respond to him because she thought he was a rancher. 

Note: I've heard that the lady in question did eventually marry a guy from California and lives here now.  Don't know if it was the same guy.  Anyone in California know of a Odessite, former dancer/actress about 50 yo now.  First name Valentina?

Where have you been?  From the start, the talk has been about whether John is a typical American.  To those of us who have been born and raised in America, we could see immediately that he is not American by birth, nor are his habits typical.  Mark is from Ireland and could immediately see that John is also Irish by birth.  We may speak the same language but the accents are easily recognizable to us.

Doll is just playing games with us with her insistence that John is not only a born American but a typical one at that.
