ooooops  How very-very interesting to read remark like this from a man who's married to a woman who in the future (hopefully) will hold a US passport.   Make sure that you never-ever let her forget that she is RUSSIAN only and never-ever will become an American like you.   Oh, by the way, I assume you are 100% Native American, right?  What tribe may I ask?

Dear Ooooops!

1/ I don't *think* my wife will ever get a US passport... my "tribe(s)" have their own passports

2/ The "hang up" with the accent is easily u/stood if you read the thread from the start .

3/ I see why you may have chosen the handle Ooooops !

Take care, now ;)

Dear Ooooops!

1/ I don't *think* my wife will ever get a US passport...

Irish and British - YES.

2/ That could be because *I'm* not a US citizen ;)

Hey, give me a break - I've been  here only for 1 hour and you want me to know nationalities of all participants?     :o     So, if you ain't even American, why are you so upset about this "John" being misrepresented as "typical American guy"?   You should be happy, actually, that nobody named him a "typical Irish guy"   :)

3/ The "hang up" with the accent is easily u/stood if you read the thread from the start .

I am reading thread from the start, that's why I've deleted my previous remark when I got to your post about being Irish.   Duh!    And yet I don't understand - who gives a ... where this dude was born?   The important thing is what he grew up like.

Good eye!    :)

Take care, now ;)

Dearest Oooops!

1/ Welcome to the fray

2/ *IF* you really HAD read the thread you really wouldn't be asking (STILL) about the importance of the "Irishness" ( or not !) of "John".. your questions are all answered already.

3/ When you are a little less trigger happy with the Oooop's we can get down to "serious" exchanges :)

Nope.   Still beats me.   The only logical thing I can come up with is that everybody's trying to say that he's not one of them   :) :) :)   May be yes, may be no, but it has nothing to do with place of birth - that's my point.

BTW Ooooops,

If you go to

http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?board=41.0

you'll find that new members can introduce themselves, and THEN you might know more about them and their backgrounds

I've learnt a lot in only six days membership ;)

I hope this helps, and you might tell us something about yourself, even ?!

Nah...   It's more interesting to guess and make assumptions.   :)   But thanks for the URL nonetheless.

It's the Irish way, Darlin' .. see how fast we progress ?  ... ;)

May be I can give you a clue.. Only one member noticed he wasn't American, and there was a lot of sterotyping of American Men going on... so YES, ( Shock) I agree his nationality / birthplace aren't important..

But let's assume you are Russian and you hear someone saying "all Russian Woman are cheap prostitutes" ... and they are talking about a person who is not exactly destroying this myth - but you know them to be of a different origin...

On a board, like this, it is not difficult, or offensive, to correct a pretty serious repetition of an error - especially a stereotypicalisation one... no ? ;)

Well, when my brilliant joke about you being Native American didn't make much sense any more I had to oooooops it.   But no!..  you had to bring it back!   :wallbash: :)

That's not my problem.. the joke WOULD have been witty, if the cap fitted the intended recipient ;)  If you have subsequently removed it - good for you !

Nah...   It's more interesting to guess and make assumptions.      But thanks for the URL nonetheless.

"horses and water" idiom comes to mind - do you know it ;)

Slow down, Mister!   :)

!! As you see, how men from different countries/ regions address ladies can be "confusing" ... My Wife still finds it disconcerting to be addressed as "my darling" by men or ladies at shopping markets over here ...or when if I say it to ( particularly older ladies) who are clients, on the phone! .. it's a cultural thing... not considered condescending  ;)

Well, it's clear that this someone is a total imbecile, so what's the point of arguing with him?   :)

..or *her* - Are you REALLY paying attention to these threads !! ? ;)

Which one?  The one that you can bring horse to the water but you can't make it drink?

You got it, but "has the penny dropped"  ? ;)

Sorry, Ooooops, it's been fun, but work awaits, and I must call to say good evening / morning to my real Darling ;)

Guys, why are you so hung up on John's accent and his place of birth?   You, of all people, should care less about the "place of birth" line in US passport.   ;)
Come on, Ooooops, you need to know by know that the ones without accent are a dime more expensive it he US  :D

No, I can see where they coming from - yes, he's bad but he's not an average American 'cause he's even not an American, he's Irish!   Well, boo-hoo!   :)  He's an American you want it or not - he's got a US passport.   So as his cameraman, but I wont' say anything about him otherwise I'll get banned on the first day here.   :)

Well let's see.  My first tour I went on had one young tow truck operator with a low income who saved $ 50.00 a week for 3 years to be able to afford the trip.

Then there is my friend Mike who is retired on a limited income and quite happy with his bride of two years living in their new economy model double wide.

Then there is Acucrazybear or whoever it was who was a quite nice police officer without a big income that we drove from RWD with our comments about his income.  Hopefully he made the trip and found a wife.  I think he would have made a great husband for any woman.

Class and dress are not the same.  On one other trip there was a quite wealthy, very well dressed guy whose character was far below trailer trash.  He was the ugliest of the ugly American type I have met in my life.

I will agree that most of the Americans persuing this have high incomes.  I think the survey we did here long ago shows that as well.

I still don't see anything wrong with John.  Yes, there are women who won't be interested in him but the same is true of anyone.   All anyone needs to do is be realistic about what they want and look hard enough.

Another "Oooopsism " - ever heard of Green Cards ? ;) .. we already discussed the reason why stereotyping of Men / Nationalities who seek a FSU woman are diverse... as are the conclusions ( and I'm as guilty, too !) we might draw ...  :-[

Really ? .... tell us more ... Doll needs "ammo" to avoid paying up on our little bet.... ;)

So as his cameraman, but I wont' say anything about him otherwise I'll get banned on the first day here.   :)

Turbo,
That is absolutely untrue!  Acrazybear was given nothing but encouragement by most of the RWD members.  It was he, himself that questioned if he could afford doing this.  He left after a personal tragedy that was job related.  Please quit making things up to support your POV. :rolleyes2:

not a good point, Doll !

"Evidence" so far that says different

1/ John SAYS he's Irish (twice,  on the video)

2/ He talks with a STRONG Irish brogue (accent )

3/ I will pm you with his email address - which is Irish..( ends in .ie )

And now please tell us your "common sense" .. If I apply for a Russian passport, following residency, etc., in Siberia am I Russian ;) ?

I offer you the "rope" .. carry on and insert your neck ;)

I don't know if it's still current, considering the intervened sexual-harassment legislation, but 30+ years ago London shopkeepers would serve their female customers with a cheerful:

Well, as far as I know it's extremely difficult for a person on GC to bring a spouse to US on K1/K3 visa.   So yes, it was my assumption that John is a US passport holder.   No solid proof.   Of course, we can send him an e-mail and ask directly - his address is on Ed's website.   :)

and "me Duck" in the Midlands, "me loov" up north, and many similar varients...  Travelling in the British isles is amazing.. every   50 miles a new accent is encountered... just when Wifey thinks she has English "cracked" a new dialect comes along ;)

Oh Dearie me.. two MAJOR Oooopsisms here

1/ Please explain how some folk I know, who are Europeans working in the USA,  can bring in their wives..( non EU, and from FSU countries)

2/ Are you wise to divulge the location of a REAL email address .. ever heard of pm ?

Note... no smile this time :(
