Son of Clyde, you are right,...It is style, dress and manners that make them classier.

My intent was not to shoot photos of the most beautiful women, if that was the case many of these ladies I would have never shot their photos. My intent was to show style, manner of looks and dress, what you, me, even jb, would see walking in the center of St. Pete on an average day. And that is what I think I have done.

In the photo listed, there is no style or dress.  Without meeting the girl no one can attest to her manner.  She is dressed to display her body, the first question that would cross my mind is: "Is it for sale?"  It sure looks like she's selling something.

JB, have you no young daughters?

I see hundreds of American girls wearing similar outfits.

Of course I chose her as the most beautiful of the bunch not for class or style.

JB, if you act this way in real life (away from the board) it would be a miracle if a day went by when someone did not offer to kick your butt.

WHAT do you mean, no style or grace!!  jb, when was the last time you were in St. Pete, or even Moscow? You were probably in Moscow not too long ago. Did you not see how the ladies of Moscow were dressed?

jb, a LOT of Russian ladies are wearing jeans that hug their hips, it is IN FASHION now jb, wither you like it or not!  Many of these ladies are wearing different style of big buckled belts, again, it is in style.

This ladies shirt that she is wearing, this is in style jb!!  I don't know where you get some of the crazy ideas you get.  Sure men are going to have a difference of opinion as to what one man thinks is beautiful and another man thinks is ho-hum. It's evident you and I disagree as to what we think are beautiful women. Some men are going to like younger women, some guys are going to like older women. The guys who prefer younger women are going to recommend to their friends probably to look for younger women. Although I think they are in the minority, some men are going to prefer older women, because this is what they prefer. But just because a guy prefers and recommends a younger, or older woman, does not make that "the" best type woman. And how you can call this young lady as looking like a whore I think says a lot about your style of thinking. She is young, you do not recommend young women, you prefer, recommend, older women. I bet if this was a photo of a 45 year old woman dressed in the same manner you wouldn't think she was a whore, would you?

No, Clyde, no daughters, but I do have two step-sons who date much prettier, classier, girls who do not walk down the street wearing clothes that look like that.

As Jack said, it's all in the eye of the beholder.  One man's trash is another man's treasure. If that kind of girl appeals to you, go for it.

Jack, I'm not going to argue with you.  I'm a married man, I'm quite happy with a beautiful 45+y.o. woman, (I don't dare say how much over 45), so my opinion of how 18 y.o.'s dress and look is immaterial.  I merely express my opinion that girls who look like that are selling their (correct usage) looks.

Give me a break, fer Christ's sake~!

But I just don't agree that this woman looks like a hooker. So we'll leave it at that.

Along with your grumpy demeanour you are probably nearsighted as well.

My 19 year old niece who has only had one boyfriend in her life, wears tight t-shirts and jeans. She graduated near the top of her class. She is so shy you sometimes never hear a word out of her. Her friends are all Christian, church going kids. Maybe you are living in a vacuum where victorian fashion is the rage.

I don't believe you at times.

Clyde,

You are perfectly welcome to agree or disagree as you wish.  But in your heart of hearts you know the difference between a good and modest girl, and one who is not.  If your niece is dressing like that, you have to wonder what's going on in the back seat of the cars parked behind the church.

Even you know enough about human nature to figure that one out.

What JB is missing here is context of culture.  Think of America.  In the 1960s, people with the JB putlook on life thought the Beetles were awful because they had long hair.  But by the 1970s, they too, were wearing longer hair.  Style and culture had changed.

FSU girls are NOT trash becasue the way they dress.  It is normal dress there. To wear the same high heels and dress in the US would be different, unles it was prom night :)

All I am saying is dress is relative to culture...

These girls in the pics are NOT trash.
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.  michelangelo

She seems like an ordinary kid who doesn't look particularly happy.

My daughter went through red, blue, and blond hair as a teenager. She still is blonde at 21, with tatoos. that's how the culture is.

What struck me about the photo of this particular Russian woman was that my American cultural background puts her at anorexic.

My take is that she is a good bit under 18, probably only 16 or 17.

Make you feel better?

Jet, I really do not have time to reply to ANY idiotic question, but considering the source of this request, ok, one reply........... I know of sixmen who married ladies that they met unexpectedly. I suspect their are probably more. I think that there have been many more meetings that have resulted in meaningful relationships that did not end up in marriage.

Now Jet I want to address some very misleading information that I think you are trying to portray. I believe you are claming that of the photos posted on this thread "Walking in St. Petersburg" that 42.5% of all the photos show a fat, ugly lady in the background.
Jet, there are 41 different post'sof ladies in this thread. 7 of those photos have the type women you are claming, and I'm really giving you the benefit of the doubt with two of those but we'll say 7 so you don't look a bigger fool that you are. 17.7% of these photos show the type women you are referring to.

Just more Jet BS? Big difference between 42.5% and 17.7% unless one has an underlying hidden agenda he is trying to portray. You can continue this type ofyou misleading informationon other Russian discussion boards where you contribute Jet, but don't try it here.Your BS just won't hold up here Jet. Younotice everyday more and more people contributing to this site?New guys wanting to know more about the pursuit for a Russian brideare learning that this site has a LOT of good and knowledgeable contributors.

Regarding your opinion as to beautiful women, I have often said all men are different. Many guys are going to find a lot of these ladies very attractive. Of the many beautiful ladies portrayed in the photos in this thread, 53% of them wouldn't make your cut. Well, if you think 42.5% of these women portrayed are fat and ugly I think your opinions of good looking ladies speaks for itself! :D

Jack,

Make your points without the name-calling.

It was the frontal view Jack! If you had stuck with your more 'normal' vantage, it would probably not have raised an issue. ;)

The woman's face in question, could easily pass as American.
In fact, her lack of a distinctive style could pass as American too.
She's cute, but the general consensus is that she does NOT look like a hooker. The current style, worldwide, with young women is the bare tummy. Go to any mall on the weekend. From what I've seen of women in the FSU, they often dress in a more 'erotic' manner, compared with women in the US. ...I thought that was a GOOD thing.:P:D

That photo just shows you how either Americanized RW are becomming, or how far the average RW has fallen economically from roughly a middle class life.  In the not so distant past a RW would just not walk out of their apartment looking so poorly dressed.  I prefer the days when the vast majority of RW dressed fashionably as well as tastefully :)

That was my point precisely, 10 years, or even 2 or 3 years ago, a girl dressed like that out on the streets would be quickly picked up by the RW fashion police and thrown into a re-education camp.  The girl is dressed like a cheap hooker.

I'll be traveling back to Moscow again for the Christmas season. With this in mind, I'll be watching to see how the typical Moscovitchka is dressed.  However, I doubt I'll see very many sloppily dressed women on the street in Moscow.
