There are many translation programs on the internet.   Here is one that really offers something you won’t find elsewhere.   This translation program provides the ability to translate text but will also turn text to speech so that the proper pronunciation can be learned as well as the meaning of the words.   Also it has keyboards of the different languages and a spell checker.   This is great benefit for a Russian woman interested in learning English but also for men interested in learning Russian.   You can not only see the Russian words but hear how they are properly pronounced    Here is the site:

Site 2   Learning English

On this site you can see the text and expressions followed by a professional speaker pronouncing all the words from the text in clear and easy to follow English.  They also have explanations why you are using the exact phrases for this subject.   This is a really good site and here is the link.

Site 3 Popular Idioms of the English Language

Idioms can be one of the most confusing parts of learning a language.   On this site one can learn the meaning of idioms along with an explanation and examples of usage.  You can see the text and listen how to pronounce each of the words.

Now that VWRW has shown you great ways to help your wife learn English, here are some sentences that show why it is so hard for your woman.

A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum.

The insurance for the invalid was invalid.
There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.
The were too close to the door to close it.
The buck does funny things when the does are present.
A seamstress and a sewer fell down into the sewer line.
To help with the planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow.
The wind was too strong to wind the sail.
My jaw got number after a number of injections.

How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?

There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.
Which, in a galley, could be amplified to: "There was a row among the row of oarsmen about how to row." ;)

Here is one more site that is terrific.   There are so many good parts it is hard to describe but there are parts for learning grammar, structure, vocabulary, and much more.   You can not only exercise but it will check if you are correct and show you the proper answer and explain the reasons for it.   It is a very great site.   Here is the link.
