No, we use our combined heritage as an excuse to have our "yolka" up for as long as we can.   Who cares about electrical bills, right?   ;)

BC, this one escapes me, can you explain? I know my wife, for a long time after she got here, turned water on in one place, left it running all the time while she went around to other places doing things. Turns out, she didn't realize that we pay by the gallon over here. Back there, they just pay a flat fee, regardless of usage. :)

I'm sure they'd have them in the States too but every weekend they block off certain roads and breath test every car passing through.

Well it's got to a point where every time my wife sees a policeman on the street she says, "OO, OO, I hope it is random breath test, I like them, they're so funnnyyyyy."

Yes Darling...  I just don't like police THAT much so I don't like getting stopped for any reason.   ::)

Just came back from shopping...and you know you're married to a Ukrainian woman when after 45 minutes you have to have the fitting room attendant knock on the door to make sure your wife is okay.
