Hope everyone had a great weekend. I've been browing this site for some time and I must say that I have truely enjoyed it. I have found many posts to be both informative and entertaining. To tell a bit about myself. I'm 41 years of age and live happily with my Russian wife of 1 year and two months in Birmingham, Alabama. If anyone is near us contact me sometime and we could meet.

Thanks for the warm welcome. My wife and I met online on July 2, 2006. She is from Kazakhstan, however she is not Kazakh but Russian. Yes we have seen Borat and it is nothing like Kazakhstan. The footage in Borat that was supposed to be Kazakhstan was actually filmed in Romania. My wife is from the city of Almaty. It is a city of approximately 1.5 million people. The mountains there are beautiful. I took the pic below from a farris wheel in an amusement park by my wife's apartment. The photo is a bit shadowy because it was taken late in the afternoon.

Anyway, as I mentioned earlier, we met online in July and I went to visit her in September of 2006. We soon discovered that we should be together permanently so we applied for her fiancee visa in October. Her interview was in February and she was here in Alabama by March, 2007. We married in April. The photo below is of my wife on our wedding day. We have been happily married ever since. Even though she is 27 and I am 41, there has been no issues with the age difference. We are true soulmates.

As I mentioned the mountains around Almaty are really majestic. We also took a day trip to Charyn Canyon. It looks much like the Grand Canyons here in the US. I've attached a photo.

 Agree with Gator about having another (potential?) OMB around here. Need all the support we can get to beat back the nonsense coming from some of the curious, un or misinformed, or the just plain full of it's.
