So why berate Clyde for sharing a bit of himself with you all?

PeeWee,

I have never berated Clyde for posting photos.  That is his personal choice.  I also think it is low for anyone to throw barbs at people's photos expecially of their wives and fiancee's.  I also think he (and others) need to respect the fact that some posters do not wish to share photos or personal parts of their lives on an open forum.  To each his own.

I have shared photos of myself and my family in the past, if you missed them, so be it.  I'll not be brow beaten into posting personal details of my life just because you received some negative feedback.

Take my word for it, my wife is as pretty as any woman I've seen so far of the pictures posted here. In fact, she's a lot better than most.

And no one mistakes her for my daughter.

Don't remember, JB....maybe on a diffferent board?  But I do agree that privacy is important, especially until you land the girl you want and until she is with you in the US.

Thanks for posting the pic of you and your soon to be wife, Clyde.  I think you  both look very happy to be together, and that's what it is all about...

Thank you Michael.

JB, not that it makes a difference but are you ever happy?

You have to be the most negative, depressing person I have ever been in contact with. You find a victim and you attack them every chance you get.

I am glad you have few words for me lately, maybe it should stay that way.

I can see why that other board dismissed you.

SOC (and jb):

I suggest you BOTH refrain from responding to one another UNLESS you can do so without personal reference or attack (or innuendo).

Play nice!

My favorite was Little Big Man starring Dustin Hoffman. Sat in the Palliser Hotel in downtown Calgary, Alberta drinkin' beer with the man himself. Very nice guy & really down to earth. Didn't let his fame go to his head like a lot of them.

Rvrwind,

Are you from Calgary? I lived there for a few years. Loved the place! Great party town and the Rockies are just an hour away.

In all the years, I have known Ken, I have *never* seen him post a photo of himself or Lena - at least, not one that you could make out any features (I think he may have used a VERY small avatar for a brief time).

Sorry for your luck Dan, but I have seen lots of pics of Ken, but I ain't tellin', LOL. His wife was in Tver & proudly showing them to all who caredto see. Sorry Lena, couldn't resist. LOL. It was in good taste Ken, she is proud of her man, as she should be.:)

I was born there. The General Hospital in Bowness not far from Mcmahon Stadium where the Calgary Flames Play. The Hospital was torn down a couple of years back but the Stadium is still there & so are the Flames. My sister still lives there in the Ranchland District in Northeast Calgary.

Grew up downhill skiing in the Rockies, my favorite sport right after fishing, did a lot of that in the mountains too. Nothin' more relaxin' than spendin' the day flyfishin' Rainbow Trout in crystal blue unpolouted water!!!:D Did a lot of horseback riding up in them thare hills. By the way, Little Big Man was filmed just east of Banff, Alberta.

Last time I was in Calgary was PRIOR to the winter olympics . . . in other words, a LONG time ago.

I remember Calgary being a little unimpressive - but Banff and Jasper National Parks were PHENOMENAL! Lake Louise was incredible - and that turquoise blue color in the rivers and lakes (from the glacial rock milk) was like nothing I've seen before or since.

Of course, this was in the summertime. Rumor has it the frigid temperatures in the winter can freeze the memories of summertime grandeur right out

Winter in Calgary is nothin', try going a few days North to the Yukon Territory. There you can experience winters you will have nightmares about, LOL.

I lived there for a couple of years & I suspect that has much to do with me not finding the winters in Tver bad at all when others are freezing to death, I'm sweating, LOL. I"ve seen it so cold in the Yukon that the door handle snapped of my pickup when I tried to open the door.

2 batteries, two battery blankets, an oil pan heater & a block heater & she still barely started. - 88 degrees with the wind chill & that was in the southern part, LOL. Up north was even colder. It's a wonder anybody lives there but more beautiful country you'll never see & thats a fact.

I don't see why other board have dismissed JB !!!

Yes, he is very hard in his words but several ( not all ;) ) of his advice have a gold value...

I don't like his hard method for learn something to people but it is needed for some who cannot understand the soft way...

Maybe if i have know someone negative, depressing like JB before my first marriage, i have not loose 5 year of my life...

It is better speak about potential problem now on these forum... same in the hard way that cry several year later...

No one need be dismissed from a forum... all advice from where it come have some value... specialy the negative one... they are so type of advice who make you thinking about the real situation...

Of course, i speak over advice and not low attack...

Bruno,

In the interests of truth and accuracy, I was temporarily banned from "the other" board for being too frank and truthful.  There did, soon thereafter, arise such a hue and cry from my followers, that I was quickly reinstated, (with the condition that I not post to the newbies section). I declined to return, and although I don't know it, I imagine my account there may still be active.  I'd have to check in with Spencer to determine if that's still the case, but I suspect the RWG might have been reluctant to throw away 20 odd years of FSU experience (since the 1980's) on a whim.  I don't even remember my old password there.

So when Clyde makes a nasty little comment like that you have to take such statements with a grain of salt.

FYI If I type in "jb" in the search engine I get "No Results" yet in the older threads jb's posts are there with an avatar. I think it is the State flag of Texas. If I click on the icon at the bottom of one of jb's posts that directs one to all of jb's posts it says "No Results".

I never said I had posted a personal avatar, frankly, I wouldn't even know how to create such a beast.  While the boys are here this weekend I'll see about how to do that stuff.

yeah,,, but, that was a stock avatar offered on the other board.

What these guys are talking about is something more personal,,, I think.  While I'm not unable or incapable of figuring it out, I've just never been that interested in doing so.  It has not been a high priority in my life to post such things here.
