No bombing did help end the war but was done too late to prevent the worst of the atrocities.
It looks as the world community expected the ethnic cleansing/genocide to be completed rapidly, that is within a few months and then the world could get on with it, something like what happend when Indian subcontinent was partitioned in 1947. However this did not happen and the war/killing/massacres went on and on till intervention was required.

Yes my Ukrainian GF has now joined me in UK, things are going well though we are in no hurry to get married.

I hope you can see from all this that "bombing" Serbia was the last resort - and it had the support of many nations who supplied troops to keep the factions apart.

A shame we didn't act earlier in Croatia and Bosnia .. ironically, Milosovic lost Serbs huge tracts of territory and made his nation very weak.

We won, because we showed Russia who can make and keep the peace in Eastern Europe.  Time and time again we've done this for the past 25 years.

BTW, i have distant family near the areas bombed in Serbia so don't think I'm all pro bombing them either.

And Yugoslavia was not direct under influence of Russia, also it had been peaceful for a long time until the guy who held it together died.

I'm starting the "Save Karadzic Defense Fund". This is to protest the growing ideology of moralistic interventionism, which on the whole I believe is the greater evil long term to freedom of life on planet earth.
