travel to ukraine-sumy or kharkov or other city?

I am traveling to europe at the end of august. I plan to visit ukraine either the first or second week of september for a week. I have been to kiev and odessa before. Also one prior trip to russia. I have read all the info about searching for russian women and have personal experience from my travels there. Clearly i have found the major cities have alot of pro-daters. Personally i think the chances of finding someone is greater in russia than ukraine simply because it is easier to travel to ukraine now. But i am looking for any info or suggestions regarding picking a city in ukraine to visit. I am thinking about sumy or kharkov but am open to make a journey to any other place ie:depro or kherson or anyway! I would like info from anyone who has traveled to sumy or kharkov or other cities regarding agencies and sincere women there. I know the less foreigners that visit the city the better your chances are. I am not communicating with any women at the moment. I am the type of person that does not mind making a fool of himself meeting women in malls or clubs and just going up and saying hello and see where it leads. I am in my 40's,still have hair and not totally overweight. any help or insight or direction would be greatly appreciated!

You seem to be contradicting yourself. First you mention that the big cities have a lot of pro-daters, then you thinkthat Ukraine is more easy becauseof better travel (onlybecause of the visa ?).
By this you on one side suggest to go to areas with less foreigners, and on the other side do not want to make an effort to go there.

Actually I disagree with you (maybe becase my wife is from Moscow) on the part that cities with less foreigners offer better chances. They only offer this if you plan on being used as a mule, call it 'offering a better life' in PC terms.. For sincere women, any place in the FSU has equal opportunities.
Unless you have enough knowledge in Russian, the women that you will meet in the mall or clubs speaking English have a high chance of falling in the category you wish to avoid. Add to that, would you want to pick up your wife in a club in the USA ?

In my opinion you will be better off using one or more sites to write to as many women as you are attracted to by their profile, weed out the bad ones and be turned down by some numbers, then have some phone calls with the one(s) you want to meet.
From there you can find the location where to travel to, and arrange backup plans.

This time of year would be ideal for going to the Black Sea coast of Ukraine.  I spent a summer there (in Sudak) so I have pretty good knowledge.  You can meet women from all over the FSU who are on vacation there for 1-2 weeks.  The costs of travel and housing are less because school starts Sept 1 so there aren't families, only single women and couples without children.  They spend their days at the beach and their nights at the various clubs open for the summer season so there are many opportunities to meet women.  Many oare in the vacation mode where anything goes so they are open to short term relationships or introductions to something more permanent.

Honestly, if I were to begin my search, I would spend a couple of weeks on the Black Sea coast, avoiding the big tourist areas such  as Yalta, Alushta and Sevastopol.  The setup is perfect.

Hi Lifeartist, I saw your post and had to respond!  I am from England and I have visited Kharkov 2 times before and I am so impressed with the city that I have decided to come back again but this time for a lot longer:-)  Why?  Well I have only been to Dnepropetrovsk before and I have travelled to small cities in Russia, but here's my opinion.  I prefer to keep away from Moscow and Kiev because they are big developed cities and many of the girls expectations of their guys will be much higher.  This is the same in England too!  I am just an ordinary hardworking guy who can provide for the lady and I could do without competing with all the high expectation BS that todays women seem to demand;-)  Of course I am generalising, but you get the picture.  OK, then I have decided to avoid Odessa, because of the fact it was the "dating" capital of Ukraine for 10+ years and nearly all sincere and honest women are fished out   However, in Kharkov I have found a gem because it seems to combine the population of a city with a more suburban attitude despite it being Ukraine's 2nd largest city.  It is well known for its universities and the girls here are so nice!  But more importantly to answer one of your questions, to avoid pro daters you simply avoid agencies and use other ways of meeting girls.  For example, I did a newspaper campaign back in December and January which was so successful.  I only met sincere, genuine girls who wanted to meet with me and none of that artificial BS you get with agency girls -:(  I speak from many experiences over the past 2 years!  Anyway, if you want to know more about Kharkov or newspaper ads, send me an e-mail to dazzler111111@yahoo.co.uk and I will be more than happy to answer all your questions. I can tell you probably anything you want to know about Sumy as my wife is from there and I have been there at least five times.

Just sent in the I-864 have the IV bill in hand she should be mailing her DS-230 by the end of the week and maybe just maybe with a little luck we wil have an interview by the end of September

I've been to Kharkov and Sumy.  Kharkov will have an edge in the number of available women, but there are plenty of gorgeous ladies in Sumy.  As has already been suggested avoid the agencies and place a newspaper ad.  There is a young lady in Kharkov who could probably assist you in either city.  Her site is listed in the TopSite section of the board.

Saw your post, and you are much better in the smaller cities in the Ukraine.  Kiev and Odessa are mule graveyards.  I was very impressed with Dnipro and found a great agency there, I met my honey in Kharkov through her best friend who is a tour guide.  If you want her info send me a PM and would be happy to help you.  Those two cities will give you both quality and quantity.  Don't fall in love with a few profiles, see lots of women, its a numbers game.
