Hello !

I am new to this forum and I assume that my question is not new but any help on it would be appreciated.

I would like to know if anybody has been using : http://www.angelika.net/ ? and what is the feeling about it ?

I would like to know if somebody could recommend me in an agency in Kiev.

Otherwise I have been using elenasmodels for some time. A very good site to make friends, no problem to report on it !

Angelika is an agency network of many smaller agencies connected to makea huge database.
The good thing it that you have a lot of choice. the bad part is that not all connected agencies are trustworthy, and not all agencies working with Angelika would work according to the Agencies Code of Ethics.

That makes it hard to judge the network and its intentions.

Kiev connections is a good agency but girls are generally average looking.  Depends on what your looking for on agency in Kiev.  Post here or send me a PM on what you want and I can tell you a couple of agencies.

I would recommend Kiev Connections if your not great with women back home.  If you do well back home, than you have more choices in Kiev on agencies.   A lot of guys go to Kiev so better looking girls want more of a complete package in a man.

Thank you for your answers and feedback.

I guess that like many people, I look for a bit more than average looking Lady. About the agency, I look for one that would be reliable and able to make more than showing a portfolio of pictures. Kiev is not so far away (I am in Europe) and Ukraine does not require visa (besides I really like this city).

My modest experience with internet dating is that it is really great to make friends but harder to find somebody ready to build a relationship and make later the big step. I came with idea that a good agency could be of help ? Correct me if I am wrong.

About angelika.net, it seems that few Ladies have emails; I wonder if it is possible to build a relationship with their mail forwarding system.

Angelika.net has the best website I've seen.  My first agency experience was with 5 Star in Dnipro, bottom line, they live up to their name, no better agency in Ukraine.  I went to A Ukraine Lady in Kharkov and was not pleased with what was handled, long story short, no meetings were arranged.  I'm sure the agency in Kiev is fine but there are sooooo many PD's in Kiev you would have to go to a lot of meetings and it may take say, 4-5 meetings to find out she is a faker.  It may take 2-3 visits to see if she is a faker.  The girls on Angelika do not post email, they make money on the letters which aren't cheap.  I used this service when I met a girl and wanted to stay in contact between visits, say a letter a week.  You are not going to build a relationship on email, you are going to do it on a personal meeting!!!  My advice,  book your own apartment and pick out between 20-30 girls, send an introduction letter and meet them.  If you are a normal healthy guy not trying to marry your granddaughter you will go home with your head spinning and wanting to go back real soon!!!!

Patrocle, as you have the advantage of being close, travel will not be the problem.
An agency or dating site will not make a lot of difference. The reality is that to make it work you will have to meet.
The advise is, be ready to make some short trips to meet women. If you are used to dating multiple women, do as Ben amen says. If not, narrow down the candidates and you might even visit them one at a time.
As you already know the city, you should concentrate on meeting the women and getting to see them in their daily life. Meet friends, colleagues and family as much as they let you. If they seem to shield them off even after multiple meetings, be aware that you might not be marriage material in her eyes.
You will have no doubt if one of the women has chosen you as potential partner. If you can have similar feelings, go for it. If there is any doubt, keep looking.

Thank you for your answers. I know that my post is not new in its content but this is nice to share experience with people who went through this experience successfully or unsuccessfully. This is not as easy as it is stated in the website advertisement.

I fully agree that meeting is the best way. First you see if the Lady comes out or not ( it happened to me that the Lady doesn't come). But I thought that an agency would be able to sort out the girl who is looking for a Summer flirt feeling, the one who wants to improve her English, the real scammer and the true Lady who is looking to build a relationship ( despite she may a very good situation in her own country). I shall stress that I met only one scammer ( a bit scary experience) but in the overall I met really nice people with internet dating.

But if I understand your posts, a reliable agency won't help to solve the problem ( I am a normal man closing to his forties busy as everyone ....).

??? You're wrong that the girls on Angelika do not post email. Most women who know how to use a computer has private email and do post it on other dating or agency sites. Except for the working ladies, the goal for sincere ladies and scammers is to find a man so why hide the email and create barriers? There's a rea$on Angelika wants to be the middleman during men's correspondence with the ladies.

I actually did buy 20 addresses postal and email from them during my writng campaign. I had a low response from the ladies there. It's possible the ladies with emails are older profiles and not many ladies would engage in a snail mail exchange which contributed to a low response rate with that agency. I did not exchange letters with ladies through their main program though. One lady with a postal address only sent me an email though. If any of you newbies out there are sending any postal letters out, include your email in your letter.

I'm not going to say Angelika is a scam agency. They are in business and have the right to make money. But being in control of people's correspondence can lead to abuse by feeder agencies who try to milk the system and squeeze every letter out of a guy. It's just best to avoid the "pay to play" agencies and buy contact info directly.

I have mentioned at this forum a few times the amount of ladies I've written. The other forum that's dying with my original story did not include it when the new owners took over. When I requested it back, they brought it back minus many posts so it wasn't the same.

What's nice about Angelika is you can sort by the age of the profile too.  I have done this, it is a good screening method,  If Svetlana Super Model is on the sight for 4 years and is the most beautiful girl you've ever seen... maybe she is a PD.  Usually registered under 2 years will find you a sincere woman.  

Again, it depends on who the corresponding agency is.  The best way is asking around sites like this.  I went to a ratings site, went to the Gold Agency they recommended and they were questionable, but met my girl there, so it was gold for me!

I wondered about the other site.  What happend to David?  Was he the owner of it?  Is he still around?

To go back to angelika.net; I started few years ago by sending direct mails, I used to get only few answers. If a Lady can access an email, it is better to build a first contact and then to decide to meet or not.
