What should I do to in order to visit Ukrainian and Russian women?

Hello I am new to this site. I live in Canada.
I have been in communication with quite a few Ukrainian and Russian women.
They want me to visit them rapidly but I have never been there and do not know much how to proceed. I did not want to rush into buying airplance tickets since I am still to uncomfortable with the process.
What are the steps in order to travel in Ukraine and Russia?
For instance, I believe I need a visa to visit Russia but not Ukraine.
First I would like to visit a few women in Ukraine and Russia.
Should I limit my visits to 2 days per women?
Do the women need to fill certain papers in order to invite me?
May be I could start with these questions and I appreciate your help very much. I am sure being member of this forum will be of a great help.

Welcome NST!  If you move forward you are in for a great adventure.  If you learn from the accumulated wisdom of those here, it will be a very positive one.

You have asked some questions that require a lot more information from you to provide proper answers.

You say you have been in communication with a lot of women.  For how long?  Through an agency? Which agency?  Have you spoken with any of them on the phone? Are you sure they are real women?

Have you done much international travel?

My first recommendation would be to choose one country or the other in the beginning as the logistics and information needed will be quite different in many ways.

Secondly, read the FAQ's and 10 Commandments listed on this site.

Third, read through some of the trip reports in that section of the forum.  It will provide much insight on the right and wrong ways to do things.

You've found the best place out there to get the help you need.  It's a good first step.

Step 1 : get your passport and time when you will visit.
Step 2 : choose the women you feel the best 'click' with (read Scott's advise).
Step 3 : if you are experienced in travel, get on the internet and book a trip, if not check out agencies that offer tours
Step 3b: if needed, get a visa for Russia. Invitation you can get from the place where you will stay (hotel)
Step 4 : Get on the plane.

I don't know about russia, but about Ukraine, I can perhaps help you. You just need your passport to fly to Ukraine. After everything will depend of the choice of your destination.
The best is to focus on one city during a trip, can you imagine to spend a week with 2 days in Halifax, two in Montreal, 2 in Toronto, 2 in Calgary and 2 in Vancouver ?
First it will be more costly and if you meet someone you want to see again, it will be more difficult...

My recommendation:
1) Determine the date of your travel within 4 months, The fact you will tell your will to travel will make a big difference...
2) Subscribe to a site like www.luckylovers.net (it is 20$/month) and tell you will travel within 4 months in your profile but don't give destination
3) Target two cities
4) Travel where you think you have found the more interesting woman and always have a backup... don't fell in love with a letter.

About the travel itself, as you don't speak russian, the best is perhaps to hire a guide and translator. And don't make the success of your first trip a goal..you will visit one fabulous country with a very rich history, so the best is to enjoy this whatever will happen.

There are certified marriage agencies listed here on this site (NOT the advertising !!!)and Jack Bragg runs a pretty good tour group. I would be very cautious about any of the large agencies as they have poor morales, poor ethics, and doubtful origins for many of their female participants.

My humble oppinion;

If I had to start again I would pick a city (probably Ukraine so there is no visa issues) and just go there for a holiday. There is a lot to see and do, no matter where you go and there is a lot of very good guides/translators who will help you to see and do what you want. If there is a woman in that city that you have been writing to, then all the better. If not, then start writing to one.

My thoughts are that nothing ever works out first time, so just go for a holiday, enjoy the culture and sights, have a good time and meet some ladies while you are there.

I don't think it's as easy at that. The first one you meet could hook you sooooo deep you forget where you are! Just go with the flow. Trust me! There is so many nice ladies that you do not need to go out of your way planning meetings! You can meet one anytime, any night or any day that you want, without the help of agencies! Believe it or not.... They live there and do not hide in their appartments!

I met my ex by complete fluke in a bar one night when another lady who spoke no English asked her to translate, so she could "chat me up"! Later, I met my wife in a supermarket when she thought I needed help with a nasty checkout woman!

Just go there, enjoy the ride and meet a lot of people!

I see that you are from Canada. One quick word of warning. Canada is very different from the United States in  our immigration laws. There are no fiancé visas in Canada: you can only sponsor a spouse or a common-law partner. Also, if you do seek to sponsor a spouse, you will have to document every aspect of your relationship: how you met, time spent together, etc.... To be successful, you will in most cases have to document that you have a legitimate relationship and you will have to demonstrate that you spent a fair amount of time together with your spouse.

  Get on the phone with them and you'll find out some of them aren't worth visiting. It's easy for them to say "I'd Like you to visit me". If they think that much of you to say that, then certainly they'd be happy to give you their phone number and happy when you call.

Don't buy tickets too quick. Do lots of reading here and don't fall in love so you're able to make a level headed decision on who(s) to visit.

I agree! Get on the phone. All of them will be happy to ask you to visit. After all, it's not costing them anything if you do. In some cases they will encourage it because it can mean a free holiday for them.

After writing my first post, I had a think and counted the ladies I've met in Ukraine. I met 2 through an agency (nearly 3 years ago now! Wow!) and 19 just by being there. The 19 are only ladies I met who were single, compatible and interested. One of those ladies, I lived with for a few months and another is now my wife as from 2 weeks ago. So don't worry about ladies! There's plenty there!

In my opinion, there are a few ways to increase the odds of success in your venture;
1) run a classified ad (for 2-3 weeks)
2) hire a good (honest) interpreter - Mila  (mila-interpreter.com) I used her services, and she was very serious, dedicated & knowledgeable about the whole process. She went above & beyond what I expected from a guide/interpreter. Very professional & sincere. You won't be dissapointed. PM me if you have any detailed questions about her.
3) bring a modest amount of money - I usually spend about $500 - $750 per week, a little more if your meeting a lot of women from an ad, Guys that bring $2000 - $3000 are obviously dating the wrong women and going to the wrong restaurants!
4) try a few web sites to add to the mix, though there aren't many good / reliable sites left.
5) stay away from agencies and save yourself alot of grief.
6) don't date any girls under 25, as they are high-risk to say the least.
7) don't look for good girls in the discos - like trying to find a needle in the haystack
initially try to meet 4 - 5 women per day, then gradually narrow it down as the week progresses, and hopefully narrow it to a few women to concentrate on the last part of the week, of course this will vary depending on how the calls come in from your ad.
9) if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is, in Ukraine just as anywhere else.
10) hire the wrong translator and you are really out on your own!

There is a lot of good, honest interpreters  in Ukraine. If you are going to Kiev, there is Pavel, who is about the most honest and decent man in Ukraine! Just ask on some of the boards and the guys will give you a list of different people they have used.

It's difficult to say what the daily cost of your visit will be. Some people say £200 - 300 per week and others say £500 - 1000. It's all relative to where you are going and what you plan to do. I lived in Kerch, Ukraine for 7 months and spent a total of £250 per month! This was including rent, gas, water, phoning home, going to nightclubs and fitting a new kitchen to Larisa's appartment! If you go to Kiev, expect to pay a LOT more!

If you are a "big city" type of person, just go to Kiev for a few weeks and see the place. Arrange to meet some ladies there and have a great time! If you prefer a quieter kind of life, go to one of the smaller towns and do the same.

The whole point is to experience the place and get a feel for the people. It is the only way you will be able to make an informed decision about what is best for you and what you want to do next. I am a strong believer in getting to know the people before jumping in feet first. After all.... You may end up getting married to one and you have to understand her! You can't pluck a lady from her life and take her to a different country, expecting her to forget her own customs and culture!
