Strange result from a poll

From the start of my site to now ( around 10 month ), i have a pool running... the question was very simple : "what ethnic type of the opposite sex would you prefert ?"

428 America male have reply and 134 russian woman... the pool was only open to American man ( not european ) and russian woman ( not Ukraine )... the result in %...

                                American Man            Russian Woman

African                     16.8%                        9.7%

Asian                       23.8%                        16.4%

European                22.7%                        30.6%

Latin Hispanic         19.6%                         11.2%

Middle Eastern        6.3%                           3.7%

Multi ethnic              6.5%                          10.4%

Native american      4.2%                           17.9%

 

So, it seem that American men don't really wish American woman and they like Asian woman.... that Russian women like European but don't like Eastern people ( several time associated with Muslim )...

JUST SOME INFO... nothing more :D

I have noticed that FSU girls do not like blacks...I suppose it's not really racism but lack of interaction, as we have in the US.

Personally, the multi-echnic woman is very attractive.  I wonder why the percentage of American men that agree (6.5%) with me is so low?  The Asian-American girls are beautiful.

Just a thought, but the high % of Russian women preferring "Native Americans" might be because they're simply not familiar with the term -- maybe they think it's another word for an American-born man.

I agree - and since the question has to do with ethnicity (rather than geography), I suspect that the RW answering they prefer European men really meant American men of European ethnic origins. What do you think? :cool:

I think you have right... i have not think about this problem before... and maybe the problem is identic for African... a mix between ethnic and geographie... Since Africa have usualy a level of life more low that FSU, it is normal that FSU woman don't show a lot of interest for people in Africa... but a American black can have a good level of life...

Yeeekk... very difficult to make some pool and think about all... in some way, my result are not valid due to the problem with question herself...

In my travels in the southwest US, I see many 'native Americans'.
Rarely are they paired up with an 'anglo' woman. The poll seems off in that regard.

American men know what Native American women are. And we tend to think of them as not attractive, as the poll shows...

That's very much against the grain of history.  There were a number of native American tribes which were considered by European men to be quite beautiful people, they just didn't live in the desert southwest.  

Our own Texas great-great-grandfather, Sam Houston, married a cherokee maiden who was, by everyone's account, a very beautiful woman.  My own grandfather's second wife was a quite lovely cherokee woman, which makes me 1/4 native American.  (long story).  When I was a kid we used to travel to Georgia for the annual Pow Wow every other year or so.  My grandmother loved to show off her half breed kids and grandkids.

And here's a photo of Whispering Eagle Wind, who doesn't seem to have too many flies on her.

I think Whispering Eagle has a lot of anglo in her....which is another category...

We owe that to all the lonely settlers whose wives died in childbirth on the prairies...

But, every ethnic group has beautiful young women...for sure :)

Maybe we should do our own poll here?  I bet blond headed Russian girls with blue eyes would win :)

Not sure... the more beautiful woman i have see in my life was a mix between black ethnic and asian ethnic... a stunning beauty...

We find indian woman always beautiful... but i have never sqee them in reality... only in some western show here or at TV... no sure they are real indian...

Believe it or not there are quite a few clans of German folks immitating (their perception of) the Native American lifestyle.

They get together on weekends and special occasions and have everything from feathers and dress to teepees, even a few acres of land set aside for their gatherings. All very authentic except for the parking lot and toilet facilities. Ever seen a teepee strapped on top of a Mercedes driving down the highway?

I've personally seen gatherings of 100+ from the local area where I lived so I would think there are at least a few thosand followers in Germany alone.

I really don't know why but cowboy/indian (or maybe here indian/cowboy) movies are very popular throughout Europe. Winnitou films are at the top of the list - at least in Germany.

When i was speaking about western show, it was about something like this... i know cafe where all is like a salloon in the cow-boy film... customer dance country music with the adapted clothes...

In several of our attraction park, we have a western village... like in the old time in Texas...

You can find reference to indian and cowboy in several park like Wallibi in Belgium or Disneyland in Paris...

And specialy for BC, Italian like and make a lot of western film... do you remember ennio morricone and his western music... here, "cowboy film" are called "spagetti film" :D:P

Playing off the sterio types of Native Americans is a big issue in the US now.  The NCAA (group that runs university sports in the USA) is demanding that colleges that use Indian names change their names.  And of course, Native American's have never been happy at the way Hollywood movies protrayed them.

It really was a horribe fate Native Americans faced when the Europeans came to America.  They lost their lands and ways of life, and now many still live on reservations, where they draw monthly stipends from the government and run casinos.

Bruno, that may be why the perceptions of Native American girls was so low in your survey.

Thinking a bit more about this..

Possible that between the US and Europe there is good/badguy role reversal of stereotype? In US goodguys were cowboys and  in EU they were the badguys?

Actually, migration of peoples is rather complicated.
For example, how often do you hear about the 'invasion'
that occured when the Navajos('native Americans') moved south from what is now Canada, and pushed their way into the Hopi's(also native Americans') home land? I guess we'll overlook that because they are both of non-European origins. It is not politically correct to portray 'native Americans' as having any negative characteristics. Hopis and Navajos (Dine') can be enemies just like European tribes can be enemies.

Another point about native Americans. Navajos have a tradition of farming, corn, and maintaining herds of sheep. Their traditional house is a 'hogan', an igloo-like structure made out of dirt/mud.

Native Americans are choosing to now live in modern 'hogans' without dirt floors, and with satellite dishes. Many of them choose to give up farming corn and herding sheep. Any one of them can choose to maintain a traditional Navajo lifestyle. They choose not to. Free will is involved.

Maybe the change from sleeping on a rug on a dirt floor to a comfortable european style bed is ...an improvement.  Or you can say  their traditional way of life is ruined by the white man. :shock:

Ok, enough over native American... but what about the main choice, the asian ethnic... Is it so much American dreaming of a asian wife !!! And why ?

Maybe the internet market need to change since you have 10 site with russian women for one with asian women...

Is it a choice make because asian woman have the reputation to be more submissive that in other ethnic group ?

I'll keep looking for a Russian girl myself.  But Asian girls are SO SEXY :)

Agree, because of the problem with "native American"... but this don't influence a lot the other main line... if the question was better... like replace "native american" by "american"... the result for European have certainly drop... but not the other...

In any case, for each poll, the result are only a indication... first, it is only 500 people who have fill it... really not a lot... second, the keyword from the web page was "american, russian, poll"... since the form have use data from ARIN and RIPE for select origin of the reply... it is possible that by example, canadian men have reply or belarus women...

Statistic are tool... but not always the reality... in any case, this have bring a interesting discussion over native american ;)

Asian women?  I think many of them have cute faces. Also, many are not overweight - they are petite and fragile looking. The ones with wider hips look VERY good to me, otherwise many look too undeveloped- just my personal opinion. I also think their personalities are interesting and non-aggressive.
