Have you heard of a problem getting a visa from Belarus to Poland in time for interview?

I have been told the American Embassy is closed in Minsk and women need to go to Poland, Moscow or Kiev for a visa or interview but there should not be any issue for them to go there.

As far as time getting a visa I do not know. I would contact the US Embassy in Warsaw.

If my reading of the situation is correct, both Ambassadors have been recalled.  Embassy staff has suffered several reductions in number during last few months.  US Embassy staff in Minsk now down to 5 to 7 people.  This may surely result in reduced service.  All actions have been reciprocal; most (perhaps all) instigated by Belarus.

Took 5 days to get a visa for a girl I was dating in Ukraine last year to visit Poland and did it through a Kiev travel agency.  A decent travel agent in Belarus can do it with no problem.  But get the visa in advance.  More than 2 months since this is more than a vaction.  Than if you have problems you have time to adjust and try again or different approach.

Also, personally call the embassy and be very friendly with them.  Personal relationships go a long way.
