A woman I've met and dated recently explains to me how she does not care about Ukraine because Ukraine does not care about her.

I can understand such position, but maybe one shouldn`t mix government and Motherland.
And if to stick to the topic I think that Ukraine can have diplomatic and visa problems with european countries after their last scandal. Belarus is even worse in this sense, cause of problems with states, my boyfriend is from States though and he`s not afraid of bureaucracy.

Now that these last 2 1/2 months have passed, ask you boyfriend if he is now starting to get a healthy fear of the government bureaucracy.  If not, he is not paying attention.
