Hello Mikeincroydon.

Welcome to RWD and try to keep a "stiff upper lip" while you are here!  :D

Seriously, glad to have you aboard.

Feel free to ask any questions.

There is a lot of knowledge here about meeting and dating FSU women.

Good Luck.

thanks guys, have been a member of another similar forum for a while now and have read up on the subject quite a bit. Currently writing to two girls from the same agency in Tver. One girl lives in Moscow however which i thought was strange but still. Even bought some russian courses recently as the language intrests me. I do have a married lady friend in Odessa who i icq with sometimes who is also an interpreter & english teacher i have known for about 4 years or so. I got intrested in this quest like some i guess from scammers off a regular UK dating site. With one girl i had a russian based dectective track her name, phone number & address down and was proved to be from another city with a different name. Flower delivery test also failed etc ... others didn't last that long, anyway read up on what agencies to use etc and am making a little progress. Hopefully i will get over there this year & meet up with a couple of people to test the chemistry. I do know not to rush things so i don't plan to.

Welcome Mike.
Read around to see what RWD has to say on your favorite subjects.
Regarding the detective check, it has been said more than once that if you feel you need it, better drop the woman and save you the money.
Tver and Moscow are not very far apart, and the agency might have some connections there. In many cases women also use agencies, that however are kept invisible, especially if they know some English.

Mike, which agency in Tver are you using?

Tver Angles and Lifetime Partners are legit.

TverRomance is borderline, they have some questionable practices.  Be very careful if you use them.

Be Happy is a scam, you shouldn't use them.

i was also using alltverladies or something , but they are just be happy in another guise .. same girls etc .. and i got 140 letters for girls around 18-24 in a two month period just  to use up your credits i guess..

i thought my agency was expensive but that is all , do enlighten me further ...

Hi, Mike. Best of luck learning the language.  As teaching the language is what I do, I am very curious - What Russian Course did you purchase? What do you think about it?

I recommend that you read the thread:
http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?topic=2649.0

There were multiple people in the thread who accused TverRomance of fabricating letters.  Natasha Deeva (owner of Tver Romance) joined the thread, but didn't give direct answers to many of the direct questions and made an effort to steer the thread off-topic in a "wag the dog" sort of way.

There were also some complaints that Natasha wasn't upfront with some people about certain details.  I remember one thread complaining that Natasha continued to help one man correspond with some ladies from her agency.  Then, when the man appeared in Tver, then he was told that some of the ladies actually live in Moscow.  Of course, Ms. Deeva was happy to supply a driver and an interpreter at an inflated cost if he wanted to spend his day traveling to Moscow to meet the girl and get back.

As with anything, do you own research and form your own opinion.  I don't have any direct experience with her or her agency.  I steered clear after everything I read.

Nobody has accused Natasha of fabricating profiles, and the girls listed on her site are probably all real.  If you meet a girl from her agency and hit it off, commandment #3 especially applies (Work to eliminate any agency from your communications.)

I can tell that's a scam site just by looking at it.  The fact that it's not obvious who the owner is, that there's no address listed, the phone number isn't in text anywhere (it's only in one of the graphics images), the testimonials are obviously faked, etc.

jesus, what a long thread ... ok so one or two letters got sent to keep up intrest and russian business ethics are not up to western standards .. most recruitment agencies here try to take their clients with them as do most commision based business people. No matter. I have been emailing a few girls there since september, one dropped out as she met someone as was 'love at 1st sight' etc.. and had one letter sent to me meant for another man , and olga sent a apolagy not long after. So far i have been happy with them and no complaints. However forward is forearmed as the old motto goes .. the tread you refered to was from 2006 which is a while ago and they seem to be still in business. the one girl on there that lived in moscow told be about it quite quickly and said she had been referred there by a friend, now married. Since that tread they do seem to offer piece by peice services also so i am not sure it is all relevant . live & learn i guess. I personally am not fixed on Tver but just don't want to hop around the FSU to meet a few girls , hence using an agency in a destinct city. I am also with EM so i have options but as a newbie the agency thing does appeal a bit . I am not unused to travel to places where i do not know the language france, italy, belgium, germany ,malta, spain, greece etc.. and i like the challange but when the stakes are high you don't bluff...

If you are writing since September, when do you expect to take a plane and make a visit ?
You are close enough, and if you leave on Friday and come back on Sunday/Monday it will not take a lot of resources or time off work to make a visit.
Remember that one meeting can throw out all correspondence, or multiply it, depending on the outcome.

i am a writer i admit it , i just want to be sure before i commit to a place that it is worth the trip. i can have failed dates in london for free ... I earn ok for the uk but not a flippant amount ... i must admit to being into polish women for many years as i met some in London and even learnt some of the language but i was intrested in russian /ukr women before and am still. i have met a few here but they are only after rich guys .. so what is new .. some were illegal others had started a business ... ok one was well ...... but all in all they liked it here . No matter , one i talk with is an acomplished business woman there with own flat , good job & drives a decent merc ... so i think  WTF would she wanna move countries for , probably makes more than me at age 30 even ... other is 25 a bit of a x-factor wannabe but a bookeeker buy profesion at the moment ... maybe too young i think , but is very keen  on me . BUT i didn't hear anything from them since 25th Dec. so maybeor maybe not rumours are true ... i will keep u updated....

Don't let that sway you into thinking that expat Westerners are any more or less ethical. Be skeptical w/anyone who stands to profit from your search.

The flight will set you back 300 pounds, the visa 50. Transport and two nights in Tver up to 400 if you go for a luxury deal or decide to stay in Moscow.
For 750 pounds you will know for sure if the woman you write to is real, has interest in you and is willing to leave her country for the right man. Believe me, you will spend a lot more on relocation and marriage. Also no matter how long you write, it will never result in a fail-safe trip. In the end if you feel you have good enough contact, visiting before the women lose interest is the only way.

Thanks shadow,

I have only just become permenant at my current job. Before i was on 3-month renewable contract so never knew if i was going to be out of work and the end of each month. Makes planning anything a bit risky. Now i know i am going to have long term employment this year makes me feel it is easier to plan now.  Have been reading some real horror stories recently (agencyscams.com) about girls acusing men of volience as soon as the come over to uk/usa to stay in the country etc ... how common is this ? I prefer reading the sucess stories though. I am quite aware of 'jims list' and how he runs that btw.

Mike, if she is sincere, people will tell her horror stories about men taking away passports and selling women as sex slaves.
How common is that ?
Get the idea ?

Do not hurry to marry a stranger, do not spend more than you can, but also do not think that the women there will wait for you all their lives.
