Different airlines have different policy but with AA I think you can cancel the return and still retain some credit for booking your next flight

Not every single lady on their K-1 visit proceeds with a marriage or necessarily stays with it after they do.
When I got my wife's K-1 flight [back when it was out of Warsaw]..the RT [Lot Airlines] was good for 6 months.

Price I quoted you can book directly from AA.  Yes, many flights originating in Europe are getting hit with the "YQ" fuel surcharge (€180.00 or roughly $270 USD in this case).

A note about the YQ fuel surcharge - They bill this for every leg of flights originating from Europe (and probably most from outside the USA).  So, if you are like me, and have a connecting flight somewhere else, you get hit for another big surcharge fee.  If you book the connecting flight seperately, you save some money.  But then, you lose the protection from missed flights, delays, lost luggage, etc.  Let the buyer beware!

Book the round trip originating there and then just toss the return ticket.

We backlog trips and use them that way.  We begin a new trip with the tail end of a former round trip.  Then we return on another round trip that we only use half of for the time being, but the rest later on another trip.  It works as long as you book the "return" far in the future and at a time period that will work for you...
