My discussing a pre-nup with Luda turned out to be a real fiasco.   I had told her I would not get married without a pre-nup.   That the prenup would exclude her from any claim on my business or my real estate that had been acquried befoe our marriage.   That she would get a settlement of $ 10,000.00 for every year the marriage lasted. 

She took it that I was paying her $ 10,000 a year to be my wife, just like a job and it created a lot of problems.  The girl always did have a goofy way of looking at things.

 Not knowing how you approached the subject and or explained things to the lady(s) I could see how a misunderstand could occur. Still you are on the right track, just pick up and move on the the next girl, remember this is a numbers game, you will suceed if you keep on trying.

Your marriage is like a business contract... she is stuck... if i was her, i have ask for add a other business rule... 50 euro hour for make love, so, she can certainly earn more that 150000$ in 20 year... yes, it can seem chocking... but not more that you condition own condition... buy a trophy wife almost some modern kind of slavery...

But since it is legal, it is your right to act like this... and it is my right for not agree with you...

 It is not up to you to agree or disagree, far too many men have been and are taken to the cleaners after a relationship goes sour because they think with their little head and not the one on top of their shoulders. Romance is wonderful until things begin to go wrong then all Hell breaks loose, just ask any American man who has been through a nasty divorce.

 While you might not like or agree with the general terms of my pernup, you are not the one who agreed with them. No one said any agreement had to be fair and balanced, in life there are winners and loosers, I choose to be a winner, you are free to make your own choices.

Same for me, i choose to be a winner... i am sure that the expense of my divorce ( 52 euro ) is cheaper that your pre-nup only  The power of negociation have lead me to a easy and cheap divorce... When people are able to speak together, thing are more simple...

Bruno, I would be willing to bet the cost of his Pre-nup was way way more than the cost of your divorce.  I also would be willing to bet if you assets were the same as his, it would have cost you much, much more.

It have already cost me a lot... when i was in Navy, specialy in regio where country was at war ( irak, somalia and two time yougoslavia ), i have good earn my life, around 5000 euro month net...

In these time, i was with a Belgium woman ( not married ) ... when it was finish with her, i have loose around 90000$... she have put my several account to the inferior limit, use my gold visa, my american express, take all house furniture...

In these time, i have learn that money don't make the happiness... so, i have choose for a other work, first lumberjack followed by gardener... lower money but a lot of free time... now, i enjoy the life each day... i don't use anymore any type of credit, i don't have debt... and i spend all i earn for my own pleasure...

I am not te kind of man to have big assets like tiger... i life simply and enjoy it... and this allow me to remove the problem that have a lot of money lead... all the "friend" who was around me for suck money have dissappear, only have stay the few one who was real friend... having a lot of money can make the life very difficult...

I think you made a good choice.  Happiness is more important than money.  Not everyone would agree but I believe it.  Of course having both is not too bad either.

I will second what Tiger Paws has said.   Let me ask you a question.  What would you not have in common?  What interests and thoughts would we not share?  I really don't know what you are talking about.

Yes, my K-1 visa did not work out with a much younger gal.  As far as any common interests the only differences I saw was that I would ride wilder rides at the amusment park than she would and I liked to dance better than she did.  Otherwise we both liked tennis, bike riding, camping, dining, picnics, minature golf, travel, beaches, working togehter on projects, ice skating, and lots of other things.   I never met anyone i shared more interests with.  As far as the age difference I can only go by what she told me and that was she did not notice a difference in our ages.  As far as understaning, considering she was the most private person I ever met, I probalby understood her better than her mother did.  I could also talk to her more about inner feelings than most anyone I have met.

You can call whatever you want, I will not believe that in 99% of the cases girls are sincere and really are in love when they get married with the men of such age.

I am very skeptical to the ads of the very young girls who are writing in their ads that they are looking for men from 30 till 60 years old.

I know you are not talking small age differences.  I wasn't either.  In the case of my former fiancee it was 34 years difference.   That is more than you are talking about.

just got a letter from a scammer. Letter was actually sent to us, to the agency. So I casn assume that resending was made to hundreds of addresses in Internet. Letter supposed to be sent from Russia, IP address is German 212.227.60.185

I recently started living together with a nice woman from east Europe.  It is mandatory for all immigrants to attend Dutch language classes before they get a final permit, at the end they have to pass an exam. There are a number of Russian and Ukrain girls in her class. I think most of them are not that very good looking, but as long as they are happy, who am I to comment

 

Perhaps my opinion was influenced and somewhat colored by the scam story above.

I think it is a good thing the writer exposed these con artists for what they are. Kudos to Michelangelo for taking the time to write what was no doubt a painful experience for him.  I think most men would have not put this story out there.

It is to bad there is no way of warning all of the men who look east for a bride.  However I would guess there will always be a rather long line of potential suckers waiting to hand over their cash to women like these.
